We had 3 categories of surgery:

• Emergency
• Necessary Elective
• Unnecessary Elective

Emergency is something like an emergency bypass, which must be done within the hour or the patient will die. Necessary elective is something like removing a braintumor, which can hypothetically be delayed, but the longer one waits, the worst the outcome.

Unnecessary elective is something like human sexual genital mutilation —— ¡we should not have proxyconsent for unnecessary procedures!

For convincing parents to pay them to sexually mutilate the genitals of their children, Physicians have lumped together all elective procedures so that sexually mutilating the genitals of poor defenseless babies will seem as necessary as removing braintumors. Because of CoViD19, hospitals have stopped all elective surgery, causing patients with braintumors to die.

Hospitals have started distinguishing between Necessary and Unnecessary Elective surgery again. Certainly, if the hospital is swamped with patients with CoViD19, it should postpone necessary elective procedures, but otherwise, it should proceed.

This has lead too a silverlining:

Millions of poor defenseless babies have been spared human sexual mutilation. Most of them will never suffer human sexual genital mutilation now. When their parent see that they do not go blind, insane, and develop hairy palms, their parents will realize that the sexual genital mutilators are full of horseapples. This will likely reduce the rate of medically unnecessary involuntary human sexual genital mutilation in the future.
