I think I'm going to give up trying to make up additional phonetic accents for various regional ponies. I know how the "southern" ones read, since Fallout Equestria had some characters that used that extensively. But I'm just not sure about doing others - or if it's even worth it. Could end up being just annoying to read.

Initially with Chapter 5, I tried to invent some sort of "Cajun" accent for the locals, but it got ridiculous rather quickly. I actually looked up examples of Gambit's dialog from X-Men, to see how people had him talk. sigh It just didnt' feel right. :facehoof:

If anyone here has a talent for phonetic accents in writing, you're welcome to take a stab at it after the fact.

3676347 Don't bother with the accents.
In a strictly written form of media, the message is more important than the distinctly regional sounds coming out of some pony's mouth. It's better to make sure that the reader can... well, read than to try forcing in something that feels uncomfortable for you to do.

3676406 That's a relief. :yay:

Now if I could only skip Zecora's blasted rhyming. :ajbemused:
