Minor complaint I have about video 5 in the series regarding the galatic civil war is the overall strategy. The moment earth throws its hat in the ring openly the empire would come at us with everything it can as unlike the rebels we would have more obvious territory to defend. Any operations by our forces in support of the Rebel alliance would be small actions at best, black ops and what would be left of the 5th fleet in the scenario. Everything else would defend our own territory. Earth falling is questionable though still possible. Opening a wider second front in the mid rim would be impractical if not impossible due to geography and resources required.

Basically turtle up with sending forces backing up the rebels. We hold the empire in place while the rebels gut them. If we can hold out until Endor than boom we win.
