But does it have a different texture or density compared to the rest of the slime?

I don't have much questions this time around, I just wanna talk about goo hair. Other than trying to look good among other ponies, I'm a bit curious about why that goo in the hair isn't just extra mass to provide some sort of function? Perhaps to create a fuzzy goo coat thing around the regular goo?
