Look, it's Sombra! This wasn't even a guessing game! Sheesh.

Now, I'll admit, I haven't seen his episode. Or read any fics about him. Or had heard about the Borderlands 2 short the fic appears to be an homage to.

However! While the fic still portrays Sombra as a raving nutjob, it at least gives another facet to the madness in his Voice of Reason. Are these particularly deep hidden depths to the character being explored? Not really, but considering how my impression of the character beforehand was literally "Crystals" and "Trying too hard to be edgy" any depth is an improvement.

That being said, I was a little disappointed that he wasn't actually speaking a different language where every word is just a different pronunciation of "Crystals" He'd be like a pokemon!
