It may seem like Twilight's tale is gone, but, something would not agree with this. Normally, a pony, or an Equestrian, for that matter of fact, would expect the Pale Mare to deliver their soul to the afterlife, but something much more otherworldly would come to collect Twilight. The Grim Reaper, shortly after Celestia left the room, took Twilight's spirit from her body, saying that they do not have much time to chat.

He introduced himself and told her what his job was before telling Twilight that her own death had unforeseen consequences on the balance of Equus, and that she must get reincarnated and return to her old realm some time in her new life to set the balance right. The Grim Reaper guided Twilight's soul into an unborn human girl on Earth, making sure she would retain her power in full, even in her new body, and that he would provide a way for her to return.

Fifteen years later, as many would say, there is this young girl of European/Indian descant named Umbra, whom didn't exactly fit in with her classmates. She tended to be a shut-in and socially awkward, but that wasn't what made her stand out from the rest of the crowd. It was her power, she tries to keep it away, but it tries to squirm free, like it wants to come out. But, on the day she turns sixteen, a tornado hit, and, in a Wizard of Oz-like fashion, the house was ripped from the ground. While the rest of her family made it to the shelter, the door locked itself shut, with Umbra inside.

It felt like an eternity, but all she could see outside the window was whirlwind, until her house fell onto the ground, and even then, it was darkness outside. Seeing as there was no other place to go, Umbra walked outside to reveal an eerily familiar place beyond her door. Now, a new chapter was paved in Umbra's life. She would have to master her strange powers, aid Equestria in its fight against the Traditionalists, and find out who she really is and what role she has to play.

Grim Reaper: You are a good soul, Twilight Sparkle. But you just don't know how important you really are, that's why you are going to reincarnate. Then, you will be able to defeat the Traditionalists. I wish you luck in your next life.
