In case anyone who happens to still be paying attention to this group was wondering...

In the chapter which I'm preparing to post next, Meta tells Luna that she's going to try and get back to her homeworld (assuming it hasn't been destroyed) and figure out what is going on, and if need be, fight whatever godlike extraplanar entity is responsible for what's going on. A couple chapters later, they start running experiments and calculations on Starswirl's abandoned mirror-portal project so she can get back to her homeworld. The subject of this group becomes a major focus of Meta's internal monologue leading into the climax.
