First off, check out this fourm post. Having read it, I have to say I liked the original draft better. So I guess my question is: Why was it changed? Does anybody know for sure?

Honestly I am not that quick to believe that some random text online is a real deal. As far as I know it could be someone who just hated finale and wanted to fix it. Finale aired anyway back in August so that's plenty of time to come up with stuff.

But sure, let's entertain the idea that this is real. It most likely would be changed because they decided to end series with a focus on Twilight instead of newer characters. Show started with her and then ended with her.
