For those of you that don't know, there are still sons/daughters of Civil War soldiers still alive today, living over 100 years old. Recently, we lost another one. The son of a Union Soldier. Age of 104. Lived in British Columbia.

Remember, while we say WW2 veterans are a dying group, there are still Civil War children that are dying as well.

Imagine the changes he must have been witness to. Both world wars, the cold war, all the wars in the middle east, the civil rights movement, all of it.

3959029 I'd say his dad was young when he fought. 104 years old is a long time for these people.

3959033 Nonetheless. 104 years. The shit he would've been witness to.

3959038 hard to believe their children are still alive almost.

3959043 Could be another world for all the connection we have to it today for the most part. And yet their kids are still around.

The stories I bet they could tell.

3959044 if their parents shared it and depends on where you can find them. One member of our SUVCW camp is the grandson of a soldier.

3959044 another one passed away at the age of 97. Father was a former slave.
