This is a group for people interested in the American Civil War, the costliest war in American history. We are here to discuss the war in a civilized and rational manner. No flaming or trolling is permitted at all. Any and all stories concerning the war are welcomed, even if they use Equestria as an allegory.

The Civil War is a war that often divides people even to this day. Opinions on why the war happened and on its effects are still debated fiercely by pro-Union and pro-Confederacy historians. Let's try to keep things cordial, and remember that just because someone has a different opinion that you do does not make them dumber than you. Different interpretations will be prevalent with any event such as this. Just stay calm when debating, and we'll be fine.

I like the civil war for two main reasons for the emancipation of the slaves and Abraham Lincoln perhaps one of the wisest presidents the United States of america has ever seen he waged a war without congresses permition he freed the slaves a great acomplishment for me my family gave lifes for the north and im am proud that my ancestors fought and died for a noble cause and i will post some civil war storys and tales combining equestria and a little bit of american history in there .

Could some one write a civil war story for me. I'm bad at writing.

This probably goes without asking, but is it just the American Civil War, or Civil Wars in general?
