Doctor Bright

Name: Dr. Jack Bright also answers to Doc, Dr. J, or "Oh god no."

Security Clearance Level: Level █. In lieu of recent events, Dr. Bright has been promoted to Personnel Director for sites 17, 19, and 63.

Profession: Researcher, Mad Scientist, Foundation Bookie

Location: Wherever Needed.

History: Rose to the top of his field in bioengineering and abnormal genetics. Got recruited by the Foundation when they picked up his younger brother, SCP-590. Given SCP-963 to work with. Died. Came back. Has since been instrumental in work with several SCPs, and assisted in the refinement of many more.

Dr. Bright has proven highly resistant to psychic and emotional manipulation. Whether this is natural, or a function of 963, is both unknown, and untestable.

Jack acts as the unofficial bookie of the Foundation. If someone is betting on it, there's better then even chance that Doc is holding the books. We could shut him down, but it serves as a needed distraction for many of the researchers.

Dr. Bright somehow has been given access over the personnel files. We don't know how this happened, but it sure is entertaining.

Doctor Gears

Dr.Gears (aka "COG")

Duties: Field Evaluation, Field Recovery, WCP development and review, object research.

History:

Dr. Gears was approached in the early days of the modern Foundation's existence. Since that time, he has assisted in several recovery and containment projects, and has been a valuable consultant during several events, notably [DATA EXPUNGED].

Dr. Gears is a normal earth pony, and has thus far avoided any WCP Item contamination. However, he posses some notable differences, mainly in the form of emotional response. Dr. Gears appears unable to respond in an emotional manner to any outside stimulus, with very few exceptions. Also, he appears to lack a startle reflex, and the basic form of “fight or flight” response. A example is the [DATA EXPUNGED]. Despite both the internal bleeding and partial blindness, Dr. Gears calmly requested for the testing to finish, and walked under his own power to the medical ward a half hour later.

When asked about these irregularities, the doctor responds “I'm good under pressure.” Some members of staff have asked if Dr. Gears is a robot, or a WCP item. Such inquires are to be directed to Dr. Gears.

Dr. Gears: No, it’s not that they’re “out to get us”. Nothing is out to get us. Review the data, most of the SCP items do not actively seek to damage or harm anything. It’s an extension of their basic function, like a car emitting exhaust. It’s not that it intends to produce a toxic mix of chemicals in order to do harm; it’s just one of its functions.

Dr. Gears: With very few exceptions, no, I don’t believe they are. Their existence is just a determent to our existence. Other beings may view these items as basic as children’s toys or a spark plug. They are removed from their reality.

Dr. Gears: Why would they be sent to us? We all need to put away our “Mars Attacks!” cards and start being realistic. We are not under attack. We are not the “last line of defense”. We are not on the cusp of a new era. No one is out to get us, and no one is going to save us. These things exist because they exist, and will do whatever it is they do. I think that’s the problem we have, we want there to be some great plot or underlying reason for this. There’s not. We are alone, and the universe does not care. At least, I sincerely hope it doesn’t.

Doctor Clef

Profile: The genre-savvy and enigmatic "Dr. Alto Clef" maintains that his true name is that of an A major chord played on a ukelele, which he carries around with him at all times should other entities wish to address him by name. He has received his current nickname due to his habit of signing reports with a hoof-drawn Alto Clef symbol. Although apparently competent at his job, his acerbic attitude and habit of annoying his coworkers by walking around minimal security areas with unfurled cinnamon rolls stuck in his nose has gained it the enmity of several of his coworkers.

By no means should Dr. Clef be allowed to consume an entire tin of Altoids mints in one sitting.

History: A█████ H████ C███ first came to the attention of the Foundation after publishing a seminal research paper, "On the use of Pony Semen to ████ ███████ ██ █████ █████████," which resulted in his expulsion from ██████████ University's Biology department, having already been on probation for complaints rising from his psychology study, "On the Comparative Sensitivity of the Equine Female Nipple in Laboratory and Field Conditions, upon Aware and Unaware Subjects." The paper in question referred to a ██████ ████████ with traits resembling those of an existing WCP, resulting in the Foundation contacting the individual in order to establish his security risk.

It is not clear how A█████ H████ C███ managed to ingratiate himself with the investigating agent enough to convince her to offer him a job with the Foundation, as the individual has a slimy personality that causes all females within ██ ██████ to instinctively recoil in horror, clutching their ███████ protectively. However, his acquisition came with the retrieval of WCP-447, which has proven remarkably useful to the Foundation despite special containment requirements keeping it away from dead bodies.

During the WCP-239 Incident, Dr. Clef displayed remarkable aptitude in penetrating Foundation defenses in an attempt to terminate the aforementioned SCP. Although he sustained severe injuries during and after this incident at the hands of Dr. Kondraki, his actions prompted a closer look at his past, especially in regards to possible links to a GOC operative known as "Ukelele Stallion."

Having earned a reputation for swift, elegant, and surgically precise terminations of dangerous WCPs, the Overseer Council has recently agreed to promote Dr. Clef to the head of the Department of Training and Development, in charge of training response teams and field agents.
