Seriously, why?

It's kind of scary just how many of them are Nazis.

3345233 I don't even think I've seen a brony who was a Nazi. Maybe one. I know a communist though.

3345233 What exactly do you consider a Nazi to be? What features of Nazism do you find disturbing? :unsuresweetie:

3347469
Well, to be honest, I met most of them on FIMFiction. Most Bronies I met in real life are actually mildly Conservative or mildly Liberal; I consider a Nazi to be a supporter of National Socialism and an advocate of "racial purity". There are some trolling FIMFiction users and other trolls who fit this bill.

3347473 National Socialism is proven to not work.

Racial purity doesn't have any scientific basis. The opposite is true.

I don't see any merits to those arguments supporting Nazism, but I'd love to debate a Nazi and hear his side of the story. If you find a Nazi, you may refer him/her to me.

3347481
What do you mean it's been proven not to work? And.. what even is it, exactly.

3347490 National is basically doing everything for your country in mind, while opposing and fighting everything of a foreign origin.

The Socialism part is making a system where the government takes care of all people. Unlike capitalism where people have to figure out for themselves how to support themselves and find their place in society, socialism finds you a job and gives you a lot of support money. The motto of socialism is: "Nobody gets left behind." In practice it turned out to mean: "Everybody gets left behind." Give a fisher fishes and he'll stop fishing. Money motivates people to work, but not if you can get it for free.

3345233
I don't think they're actually Nazis; they're just play-acting it for the trolling value and because it's fun for them.

I, for one, disapprove. :ajbemused:
(Maybe because I consider myself an anarchist.)

3347522
Why doesn't that work?

Wait. So you mean the socialism part of it doesn't work. Okay.

3347630 Socialism doesn't work because almost all socialistic countries abandoned socialism long time ago. Those that haven't yet are struggling.

Nationalism doesn't work because the entire world will always be more creative just one country. You'll see where North Korea will be in 10-20 years. A country either joins the globalization or gets left behind in the dust.

3347584 Yeah, it's just to get a reaction. Idiots have been doing it for years. Like in USSR some kids would wear Nazi helmets, which was a great sign of disrespect in a country that lost so many to the war. It's just dumb.

3347643
I see what you mean.

The problem now is how to get the whole world to cooperate with each other but without this meaningless fighting.

3347849 One word: Globalization.

3349325
Why would that stop it?

3349706 There can be no nationalism when the whole world is one country.

3349772
Err. By nationalism, are you referring to the meaningless fighting?

3349780 By nationalism I'm referring to putting your country above other countries. Taking care only of the citizens of one country and disregarding the rest of the world.

You can't disregard other countries if there are no other countries.

3349788
Do you think we've got enough power to do that? If we don't, then people's quality of life will suffer.

3349793 Globalization can not be stopped. You profit when you do things globaly and suffer if you stick to doing them localy. No country with nacionalistic regim can keep up with the world, merged by globalization.

Here's some of the things you can do to help out:
- If in a store you see two simmilar products. One made in your country and the other one made in a foreign country and is a bit cheeper. You buy the cheeper one.
- When there's a sport event, you don't just automatically assume that you have to cheer for your own country.
- If there is a situation where your country could profit, but the world would suffer, you vote against the profit.
- When there are elections and a candidat claims he'll bring your country to the glory it deserves you elect someone else.

3349820
I'm trying to get an idea of what the grass on the other side is like. I'm not exactly ready to play on it barefoot just yet.

I know that the more people you have working towards a goal the more power you have, but I also know that the world is set in certain ways. There's only a finite amount of power in the world, through whatever forms. Globalization may increase certain types of power, but it will decrease others -- just like any other type of ideology. I'm interested in where these decreases in power will go more than I am the increases.

3349931 Well, I'm not really into politics, I just think the system as a whole would be way more optimal. Some politically inclined pony would be much more suited to answer your power-struggle questions.

3350059
Well, let's start with that then since such a pony might not drop out of the sky. In what ways would it be more optimal?

3350225
- When you mass produce you can cut your production costs. You take more profits and the customers get their products for less money. Everyone wins.
- When invention takes place on one side of the world, the whole world profits from it immediately
- If people of country A like bananas, but bananas grow better in country B where they think bananas are only for children (I wish I was making this up) then in global environment that isn't a problem. Country A eats bananas and country B grows them. In return country A gives country B satellite dishes, that they like so much.
- Country A needs X amount of horseshoes. Since X is a very small number (country A is not Equestria) one company can satisfy the demand. Not much competition there. But what if your neighboring country is Equestria and you live in a global economy? You better produce awesome horseshoes for little money. If you do, your profits just skyrocketed; if you don't, you might as well extinguish your furnace.
- Country A has a theoretical physicist expert in the field of quantum fusion reaction. Sadly, they don't expect to build any fusion power plants for the next 40 years, but there's an opening for a cook at the restaurant, surely he can use his expertise in that area as well.

3350271

country A is not Equestria

So what do you do in order to keep country A and country B from deciding, fuck this, I want them destroyed?

3350353 Country A: Oh no, if we provoke them, they might stop buying our profitable horseshoes.

Country B: Oh, no, if we provoke them, they might stop selling us those awesome horseshoes.

3350373
Isn't that the sort of thing that stops us from warring today? Yet it still goes on?

Also, what happens if A and B had no serious trade connections in the first place? Then they're just free to fight?

3350417 America is opposite to China in every way. If you think of any reason for war, it is valid for these two players. However, war is the last thing on China's or America's mind. It wouldn't be profitable.

The only countries America wages wars on are nationalistic ones. They also wage war among themselves. Besides the obvious cons of war, there's nothing stopping them from fighting.

Stop being a nationalistic country and make some trade connections. It will save you from war.

3350477
Now this makes me wonder where the power of globalism is centralized.

That is a good question... In order to get globalization to work there needs to be a central link. (Something like MLP is to Bronies, unfortunately as long as there is one who hates MLP and will do anything to destroy it... that will be hard.

Lets take this to a smaller scale, like with America in the great depression... (or even the world since everyone was affected) There needed to be a core link to take us out of it. Everyone's (Massive Majority) thoughts needed to concentrate on a single goal. WW2 helped with that on a global scale, even with it's terrible events, it did help bring the world out of a rut. (Not saying war is a good thing, just sometimes needed. that's another conversation in general.)

Now let's get that in a larger scale. In order for America to unite like it should be, there needed to be an external link. That was WW2. In order for the whole world to be united we need some event just as large if not larger to unite the mass majority of humanity together.

We live in the age of information, so the big question is... what event can we help push that does not lead to war? This single event can unit the world for good, this event can bring people together.

Thus a conspiracy was created on Side A.

3363783
I don't think war is necessary to bring people together, but I do think that a certain belief of concerted effort is absolutely necessary. War just happens to be one of the things that can do it.

By the way, when I said I wonder where the power is centralized, I'm saying I wonder who benefits the most from this arrangement. There are many different styles of doing anything. A specific style is settled upon because it tickles your fancy. When we're talking about changing the way the whole world should be, there should be someone that benefits more from this arrangement than anyone else.

I agree completely

there should be someone that benefits more from this arrangement than anyone else.

True, someone would... the questions is always who. For me, I have never thought down that road because I see the goal of globalization out of the question in this world. To many people with their own selfish agendas.

3365155
Really? Of what I've heard so far, I see globalization as the ultimate extension of selfishness, selfishness in a very positive light I mean.

I'll only support Globalization if interstellar travel is made. Otherwise, there needs to be that diversity. That's my uneducated opinion though. As in I have to reason or story to back it up that that is how I feel and think.

(At least it's not the 'I'm right your wrong and there's nothing you can do about it' opinion:derpytongue2:)

3365177
If it's possible, it's sure as hell not at the moment. Space travel is a nightmare.

Though NASA has designed an official warp ship. (Designed, not built... but designed and deemed possible! Look it up it's rather cool) As for now, I'll be the Patriot renegade I was always meant to be.:rainbowdetermined2:
