Simply put: It's vague.
It leaves me asking a lot of questions. Why are they getting married? How? What about Night Light?
What's the big appeal of this story, as in, who is this story for? Aside from the pairing, it sounds like a fairly tame lesbian marriage, and adoption.
Yes, it's a story idea, but barely. It needs more context to be a fully realized story premise.
