A fairly obvious question. Pinkie Pie as we all know is probably one of the harder mane six members to write as there are many ways to interpret her character.

Obviously different writers interpret Pinkie Pie differently, but at the least there are probably some points of general consent on what Pinkie Pie can do.

So with Season 4 half way through, and most of the new writers having gotten an episode to themselves, now's the time to ask, is Pinkie Pie being treated properly?

My answer is, for the most part, yes.

Episodes that she was written perfectly in were:

Castle Mane-ia

Daring Don't (Though she didn't really have anything to contribute to the plot)

Power Ponies

Rarity Takes Manehattan

Pinkie Apple Pie

Rainbow Falls (Though she was mearly a cheerleader)

Pinkie Pride

Simple Ways

Episodes that she was written poorly in were:

Episodes that she was written decently in were:

Princess Twilight Sparkle Part 2

Bats!

With the exception of Meghan McCarthy, and possibly Ed Valentine and Merriweather Williams, all of the writers at DHX seem to know how Pinkie Pie works. We've even seen a new side to Pinkie Pie in "Pinkie Pride", we've seen that Pinkie Pie takes her title as Ponyville's Pony of Parties pretty seriously, and she can have a bit of an ego though not to the same extent as some of her friends.
