As a die-hard fan of the JSA, I loved the "Legends" episodes. It might not have been the JSA, though not through lack of trying on the Bruce Timm's part, but the spirit was there.

It's a tie between your "Because I'm evil" scene and the one in the Batman: TAS episode "Almost Got 'Im" where Killer Croc explains how he "almost got" Batman:

"I threw a rock at him!"
