This is an idea I...literally just got. But that seems to work for us, so I'll just go with it.

Hear this out: A series of Pony on Earth short stories set a few months after the ponies' arrival in various parts of the world. The idea is each person who joins can basically pick a pony of their choice, and have a protagonist and situation of their choice, in which to explore the complexities that would arise from trying to integrate ponies into human society in whichever way you choose. The chapter lengths and the tone or subject matter is totally up to you, so long as it's first/second person (We can discuss this if more people are interested) and is of reasonable quality. I think I'd like Twilight for the depth of character stuff I'm planning, but all others are open.

If you're interested, feel free to reply, name your pony of choice, ask questions, anything. I'd like to make this work. We've proven this group is good at these types of things, and we're worthy writers to get places. Together, we can do great things!

Yours hopefully

2398069 From what I've seen of your work, I'm entirely sure you'd be great. I was just thinking that in my own state of block, that these types of shorts are a great way to get creative motive flowing again, and also good for personal world-building. I'm going to do the first oneshot either way, so the option's totally open.

Also, you blogged about Sloth.
You are awesome.

2397920 Hmm... I'd like Queen Chrysalis (what a surprise). By name do you mean the name of the human?

AlphaRidley
Group Contributor

2398088 Thanks! You should make a slothverse group, it'd be the best thing since charcharodon megalodon. Yeah, these things are quite helpful for getting ideas rolling through our insanity filled heads.

Nobody else is interested? Ah, that's no fun. This group needs more peoples.

2397920 I'd like to help out...

Rainbow Dash in the high desert of California. Here the winds are harsh (try in the 20mph gusting range) and with high mountains around our valley we get standing lenticulars (cool disk shaped clouds that don't move). There's a relatively small town tucked into the valley with a navy air base nearby, there's quite a number of pilots living in the town. Rainbow Dash ends up here ...
... Profit?

Who knows where this one might lead, but it could be entertaining to see someone trying to hide her from his pilot dad who's basically on the hunt for her. Plus the crazy weather would throw her for a loop. Also, I think it might be interesting if her flying was handicapped because of a lack of magic in the air, added complication there. :rainbowdetermined2:

2398675 This group is still one of the nicest bunch of people ever gathered in one place, and if you know who to ask, nothing is impossible! ...Well, among those of us in on the Skype action I suppose... And then still mostly me...

2399416 If you'd like to edit, I'll PM you the link to the first chapter sometime when it's done.

2402774 Sounds good. Keep in mind, this would be a bit less action-orientated than your usual work, but that could be good, you can practice your emotional scenes and dialogue.

2403107 I'm thinking of having a bug specialist find Chrysalis in a forest while out searching for an endangered species of insect.

2404193 I'm cool with that. I've started mine, but so far I'm writing second person. You down with that, or want first? I just thought second allowed for some great personal development as well.

AlphaRidley

2404199 I've never written second person before, but it sounds like fun. Let's do it! *insert facial expression*

2404215 Right, so, you wanna plan in PMs or a quick Skype convo? I wouldn't mind brining my editor in on it, he's great too.

2404331 DUUUUUUDE, you need to get with this! :pinkiehappy: It's an online word proceccor where we can all work on one document at once.

2404346 Really? That's neat, do I need to log in to my gmail account to use it? I'll go check it out right now.

2404364 Yeah, you do, but you can watch what we're doing anyway. When you get on the page, you can leave a comment with your email address and I'll add you as a collaborator to the folder, so you can have your own document there too.

2404372 The desktop version won't work with my phone and I can't find the comment place on the mobile one... :( I'm so confuzzled. Why must google be so mean?

Well...send it in a PM then, and I'll make you a page if you want. When you get to a PC or laptop, it will be ready for you. And when you're up to it, we can discuss technicalities of the story and...well, I have a few ideas to run by you.

2404439 I got it to work... sorta.

2404449 I see so. I replied, too. So yeah, when you want (pretty much any time, I'd reply within 10 hours, literally tops) pop me a PM and we'll get to. I'll work on my starter for now.

AlphaRidley

2404477 Ok, I'll send you a pm so we can start when I'm not busy (aka in about 3-4 hours) with school. :D I found the comment button on the mobile version, the hard part is clicking it.

2404505 Well, I'll be here in four hours, but only just. See you then.

2404529 I've decided on the Lord Howe Island stick insect (Dryococelus australis) as the insect the bug specialist will be searching for. It's a very fascinating insect.

2404799 That's...an interesting level of research. Well, you figured out how to gdoc yet? Also, whenever you've a while join a text convo about it, any time. We need to talk it out. Planning is key

AlphaRidley

2404807 I hardly reasearched it at all, it's been one of my favorite insects since I was a child. :) Yeah, I downloaded the app. Okay, what's your skype name? I'll join the txt chat later today if I can find the time. :)
