Hiya.

I'd like to suggest that we add another folder, one you could say is more about writing spellbooks than the books' contents. Although reading about the consequences of a given spell or of some magical event is wonderful, some of the most enjoyable stories about magic--and which so often have extensive work put into establishing set rules for magic--are those about the characters are learning it.

The study of magic, the creation of spells, the scientific study of magical effects, teaching magic kindergarten, attending a school for up-and-coming mages...

I think that this would fit the theme of this group.

The deed is done! Thank you for your wonderful folder suggestion. And I agree that some of the best magic oriented stories are the ones that can go into detail and explain the mechanics behind the spells and such. The explanation of these rules truely show the effort that an author puts into the world they are building and helps the reader better comprehend. The journey is just as important as the destination. Thank you and Happy Reading!
