Premise:
Humans are pulled from an Earth-like reality (or Earth)
Their memories get locked away, replaced with the character's backstory and the knowledge chosen by the author they should have
The locks are not invulnerable, but are unable to be removed by any unicorn or alicorn, no matter how powerful
The reality from where they are pulled is altered to make it so they never existed
They get thrown into the world of Equestria or wherever the story takes place
In a magical accident involving mental magic, the main character gets partial amnesia
The brain/spell tries to fix it with pulling memories from other parts of the brain and attempts to unlock the old memories
It weakens the seal to be able to be vulnerable to strong magic
As time goes on, old memories leak into the knowledge given to her
She used to watch mlp so now the memories are occasionally helping her with knowledge
Her goal is to escape from the author’s control in any way possible
She also has to not alert the author to her awareness by playing along
The author guides the character along a mission and causes trouble and resolution while the character keeps the story in character and advancing
She also has a level of control over her actions and storyline
She influences the path the story takes

Don't know how I feel about the Stanley-esque author looming over everything

Other than that I think its pretty okay

I like the memory manipulation aspect of it, that would be quite interesting to explore.

5024332 Well the author isn't really going to be a part of the story, rather there is no narration and it's more the story manipulating the character.

Thanks! I've had the whole idea gathering dust in Google Docs for a while.
