On this day, November 9th, 75 years ago, after many years of persecution, a young Polish Jewish man in Paris shot and killed the German Ambassador in retaliation for the treatment of his father and fellow people in Germany. The Nazi's would then launch a campaign of terror against the Jewish people of Germany and Austria.
Killing nearly 100 400 people, and rounding up 30,000 100,000 Jewish people to be sent to concentration camps, this infamous historical event would be forever known as "Kristallnacht" (Crystal Night) or "Night of Broken Glass" as it also goes by.
Let us not forget this event, or the actions that soon followed it, for the fear of repeating said events.
Killing nearly 100 people, and rounding up 30,000 Jewish people to be sent to concentration camps,
Actually over 100 000 Jews were arrested in course of the day, and at least 400 Jews died in that night, Then in detainment 62 were beaten severely by police and 12 of them died. You also fail to mention that those 28 000 men (2000 more had died) were released on course of three months

A scary foreshadowing of what was to come...

It sadder when you realize places like Dachau and Buchenwald were already open and already had prisoners in them
