The Western Front, for a brief time during Christmas 1914 the Magic of Friendship over came the madness of World War I, as enemies set aside their differences and met in No Man's Land as friends, exchanging gifts and even playing soccer. For that short time in 1914 it seemed peace had returned, but it was not to be the desire to continue the war both at home and at the front over came the power of friendship and the madness resumed

One can only wonder what would've happened had the Magic of Friendship pervaled and that cease-fire held
