Just a quick story from the top of my sick mind

The Staircase

Rarity walked quickly down the spiral staircase hoping to find the bottom, or at least Twilight, who came down a couple of hours ago. She walked in complete silence, her hoof-steps echoing. "Where is the bottom?" She thought. Unfortunately she stepped on a bone that was laying on the stairs. Before she could react, she tumbled. "Ow Ow OUCH OW!" Every few steps her vision grew fuzzier. Rarity also could have sworn she saw blood coming from her head, staining her white fur. But right now, she had to focus on how to stop herself. The spinning staircase grew colder, and colder, and the only noise she heard while tumbling was her own grief. Everything was swimming as she hit a rail hard. A bit too hard. Rarity fell unconscious as her body continued to fall.

The rats from the bottom were chattering and scrounging for food. Suddenly they heard what sounded like bones snapping and something landing hard on the cement floor. They poked the battered and bruised body of a young mare's carcass. "Finally, fresh meat..."
