I'm new to the G4M universe and I'm still working my way through the stories, so I'm really not sure what universal plot points have been established or not. However, my brain has already started churning over possible story ideas, and I was wondering if folks wouldn't mind helping me out with a plot idea of mine. Am looking for feedback or to be pointed at existing story/forum post that might answer my questions. thx.

Have any ponies been sent to Earth as part of a military exchange? Would this even make sense? I can't see Celestia and Luna allow their ponies be sent to Earth to partake in Earth's internal squabbles. On, the other hand, I can see ponies going over to learn about their Earth military counterparts in non-combative situation.

(That being said, I have no plans to document any of this, rather I was thinking of just throwing this in the background and using it as an excuse for having one of my characters leave Equestria for an extended time. But doesn't mean I can't ponder the consequences of such an action.)

I haven't read all the stories, most likely less than half, but Earth military was on Tellus (I think this was the planet's name used in this universe), and even got to fight alongside gryphons against Cloven (think: zerg). They were escorting human delegation to the gryphon empire, shit happened, they got stuck there. I haven't heard of any Tellus military on Earth past Cloven war gryphon veterans, but they were not there on duty, so to speak.

I recall that Equestrians (read: princesses, especially Celestia) were really against any human military even coming through, and even when they agreed, they set a strict limits on what they could bring, so I imagine that Equestria is not all that interested in sending their military over, especially since that'd be a bit hypocritical of them.

That was, however, likely years "ago" from our current point in time, so who knows.
