Just thought I'd throw this out there...

Clearly this group was founded with the intention of gathering those HiE fics that are considered to be written well in one place. My question is: what makes an HiE fic bad? Obviously, there are certain boundaries that shouldn't ever be crossed (ex: Human as seventh Element of Harmony, adopting Scootaloo, etc.) but I was hoping I could be provided with a slightly more expansive list.

Why? I'm toying with the idea of an HiE fic myself and want to make sure I'm not violating five hundred taboos in doing so. Some of my ideas could be considered...borderline. Any feedback I could get would be much appreciated.
