For as little Doctor Who as we've had for a bit, seems like a lot is coming soon. Wasn't really expecting that Christmas special...

Is the Christmas Special the S14 premiere or its own thing?

We don't know terribly much about it yet. It does seem like the first time we'll actually see the new Doctor (And based on the special name, his companion, Ruby Sunday), but I'm not sure if it's actually counted as the first episode of the season or not.
