What do you like in your cover art? If you had the chance to get one made/make one yourself, specifically for your story, what would it look like?
As I'm an artist before I'm an author, I'm inclined to want to make my own. Obviously, right now, that is not the case. I'm not even sure what it would/should look like. I know it should either show the two mane characters, or some sort of reference to them, but other than that, I'm currently unsure.
430390 I'd like it to be clear, with not a lot of detailed background. Just want it to at least give a hint of the relationship of the main characters (if it's shipping), and maybe the title of the story somewhere in the cover art
449261 I like the minimalist style. But personally, that's not how I illustrate.
I've been turning over the idea of doing a shot of Twilight, curled up in her bed, clutching a Luna doll as the cover for Pony Dreams. Need to sketch that one out, see if I like it enough.
