Its UNDERSTANDABLE with shiny drop but...WTF, WHY IS RATHIAN PLATE THE LOWEST PERCENTAGE TO CARVE OR RECEIVE...cus of this i got a goal of getting the plate before i make my story or i will be stuck with a 1000 words or less but CAPCOM or whoever did this said that plates aren't important other than armor lets make it really hard to gain it to make players grind for this WHY THE HELL IS IT NOT SPIKE I CAN'T FIND A USE FOR THEM(yet)OTHER THAN SELLING THEM FOR CASH!
so i ask this wonderful, knowledgeable community this question...

WHY THE **** IS THE PLATE THAT LOW?!?!?!?!?

And all they do is raise the percentage just BY TEN PERCENT ON TAIL CARVES FOR HIGH RANKS.

CAPTURE BY TWO.

AND REMOVE IT FROM SHINY DROPS ALL TOGETHER.

The plate is the low rank rare drop of the Rathian, really is just based on luck whether you find one or not. Besides the plates are needed for the some of the most powerful low rank equipment (as well as some higher rank stuff) so making it drop much more than it already has affects replay-ability which is pretty much one of the main hooks of the game.

i imagine it's supposed to reflect how few hunters have the skill to kill a rathian with the plate intacts.

Because plates are used to make the upgraded Rathian weapons as well
