And set up their own civilization alongside the humans, however eventually they blended together to the point where Earth was populated completely by a perfect fusion of the species, the lifespan, abilities, and ears of Romulans, but the mental state, creativity, ingenuity, and ambition of humanity, the new species getting the best traits from both of the old species which no longer exist in their old forms thanks to this fusion... How would this effect the events of the Star Trek universe?

Depends if they still have the ingrained hatred of Vulcans; if so, First Contact wouldn't work out, and the Federation wouldn't exist (at least not in the form we know it).

Hmm... They'd probably have forgotten for the most part... They'd probably consider humans or romulans, a myth, the species having fused into one long ago... And vulcans even more-so... Though knowing Romulans, the vulcans would be the one's the myths demonized.

I don't think they would. Earth is much closer to Vulcan than Vulcan is to Romulus, they would have preferred a farther away planet.

Okay let's say the Romulans go alongside Humans. The Humans and Romulans would fight each other constantly. There would be no peace.

Considering what the Romulans did with the Remans, I would imagine that it would simply be Romulus in a different place.

Could see that. Humans being enslaved. Maybe few pockets of resistance. Just a thought. Kirk might be a leader of a group instead. Just thoughts.
