Appearance:
Isak's appearance is a bit unorthodox for a griffon, as not only does he lack the eagle-foreclaws most griffons do, he also possesses a quartet of "feather whiskers" which trail from his crest and the root of his tail. These feathers are striped white and ice-blue and possess a single black spot on the middle of each.
This tail is more avian than a typical griffon's as well. being composed of feathers and utterly lacking in the flexibility and control departments as a Gryphus-born griffon like Gilda.
Isak's fur and feathers are patterned in a mixture of snow white and ice-blue the same as his feather whiskers, while his beak, tertiary feathers, and a series of curving lines along his sides are deep gray, and his claws are black. Essentially, Isak would blend in almost flawlessly in the snowy environment he calls home, save for his crimson eyes, which flash with an exuberance and simple joy in life.

Talent:
Flight, particularly in mountainous and arctic conditions as well as being exceptionally agile in the air. He is often seen larking about in the sky, dancing in blizzards, and generally just enjoying everything the air can offer. Were it not for his physical limitations, sense of duty, and his enjoyment of company, he'd be in the air all the time.

Isak travels light as any pegasus would, though he does carry reinforced satchel when delivering letters and on long trips.

History:
Born in the city of Talos, capital of one of the major griffon kingdoms north of Equestria, Isak was always flighty for a griffon. He grew up in the sky, and it was then that he discovered his affinity for the sky. Even as a fledgeling, he was always taking off into dangerous blizzards just to frolic. This often got him into trouble with the elders of the city and his parents, though he became a legend among his peers for his sheer ability and incredible flight technique. He is in his teens now, and thanks to the reasonably modicum of maturity he gained after a number of misadventures and skirmishes with the other griffon kingdoms, he has taken up doing whatever jobs he can help with. In this manner, he often is pulled for courier duty, patrols, hunting, and sometimes exploration.
After a notable disagreement with his parents, he moved out and has taken to living alone as a bit of a roguish spirit, serving as an on-call courier for the council of elders and doing odd jobs or exploring in his free time. As a result, he knows the northern mountains better than most birds, and is occasionally hired as a guide.

Status:
Currently living alone in Talos (although he has hangouts all across the kingdoms due to his courier duties) doing odd jobs while working as a high-priority courier for the council of elders, who are annoyed by his attitude but can't argue with his results and his skill.

Attitude/Personality:
Rather flighty and energetic, Isak bears a cheeriness and a joy in simply living that is almost off-putting to a sizable number of griffons. This is most evident when he is flying, and hanging out with friends, but in spite of it he has developed a strong sense of maturity to go with it, and when the chips are down he's one of the most dedicated things you can find in the sky.
However, he is not without his faults. His relationship with his parents and extended family are still a bit tense, regardless of his success working for the council, and he is considered slightly eccentric or unusual among his beaked brethren for both his flightiness and his strange tastes. While he is no stranger to eating meat, he typically refuses to eat anything that he could hold an intelligent two-way conversation with, which is a reason he tends to prefer fish and lemmings when hunting.

Miscellaneous Info:
It is theorized that Isak's flight capability is partially tied to an instinctive ability to read the wind currents, but there is no physiological evidence to support it, and Isak isn't one to sit around for a test that won't make much of a difference to his abilities.
Isak has, as a result of his courier duties carrying him to all corners of the griffon kingdoms, a massive number of contacts and people he knows all over. He is exceptionally social, though there are times when he just goes flying to escape from the social scene.
Isak possesses a second nickname he acquired as a result of taking place in a griffonian flying contest as a fledgeling. When asked if he would like to delay his performance by a few days on account of a snow flurry that everyone agreed would render flying conditions utterly miserable, he flew anyways, and if anything his performance combined with the snow was one of, if not the, top performance in the contest. His motions in the air were so magnificent that it appeared as if he was dancing, and thus griffons started to call him Snowdancer.
