Top 10 Creepiest Video Game Enemies · 1:36pm Dec 13th, 2012

Have you ever encountered a video game enemy that gave you chills or caused you to lose sleep at night or not make you play the game for months or years? Well I have come up with 10 enemies who are capable of doing just that.. well not all them.

What makes a video game enemy creepy(scary)? The answers to that question are plentiful and different games undoubtedly have varying of opinions on what makes an enemy truly unsettling.

Voice, appearance, mannerisms, invincibility, back-story and many other things can have an impact on how creepy an enemy is to a gamer, I have taken the time to filter through the creepiest enemies that video games have to offer, and narrowed the list down to what we believe to be the top 10 creepiest(scaries) video game enemies.

Now the rules, one enemy for franchise and only for games that I'm play or watch them on YouTube like a Walkthough/Playthough.

If you agree with me cool and if not that's okay I'm really not care anyway, so with all set let go.

Read on to see my Top 10 Creepiest Video Game Enemies.

10. The Piano – Super Mario 64: The piano looks like a regular part of the scenery, even a potential platform to jump on, freaks out the second you get near it, slamming its way towards you with its giant piano teeth.

9. Snacker the Shark – Banjo-Kazooie: Tthis shark is a vicious hungry shark found in the waters of Treasure Trove Cove and Rusty Bucket Bay.

You will see that the waters looks calm and can be swim but once Banjo swims too far from shore in Treasure Trove Cove or within a fenced-in area in Rusty Bucket Bay or any area with deeper body of water, Snacker will appear from nowhere and chase the player down while a signature piece of music plays, reminiscent of the Jaws theme.

Defeating Snacker will yield 3 Honeycombs and make the waters safe for swimming for a short while but the shark will return after a minute or two, so make your time count.

It's in this list because when you was a young kid playing this game you have fear once you saw the shark.

8. Redead – Legend of Zelda; Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and The Wind Waker: They may not be the toughest enemies to take down, especially if you're quick to pull out your ocarina to play the Sun's Song or when you figure how to attack them before they attack you but when I was a young boy these were the first enemies to creep me out in both Ocarina of Time and the Wind Waker.

Redead certainly hold their own special place among the creepiest in video games, born of the cursed souls of the reanimated dead, the Redead stalk the darkest and most forsaken corners of Hyrule waiting to sink their teeth into the flesh of a living victim.

Their blood-curdling screams will halt even the most courageous hero in his tracks, allowing them to sap his life energy. In their (more or less) living form, Redead usually have the appearance of a mutilated corpse brought back from the dead.

They are low on the list because I'm not longer afraid of them, I hope so!

7. Descendants – Uncharted; Drake's Fortune: When you play a Uncharted game you never expert a supernatural enemy to appear right? well think again.

The Spaniards paid a hell of a price for stealing that beautiful golden statue of El Dorado so did the Germans when they attempted to retrieve the treasure centuries later, this creatures they were turned into were left sealed away on their abandoned island to lie in wait for the next idiots of plunderers to fall into their trap and of course that's not quite creepy enough.

You have to fight these bastards within the confines of a dark, hauntingly deserted Nazi bases. You first encountered them on Chapter 16; The Treasure Vault and you was not ready to fight them because you wasting bullets fighting theses pirates and for the worst these Descendants are hard to kill even with a shotgun at close range.

They can still overwhelm you in numbers and the target system of this game is horrible, so yeah you will die faces them in battle so many time to the point to piss you off.

6. Stalker Necromorph – Dead Space 2: Unlike more traditional Necromorph, these arrow-headed, bird-like creatures won't just blindly attack you on sight, they/these preferring instead to wait in obstacle-filled rooms, poking their heads out at Isaac and squawking at their comrades until he is deep enough into a room like playing a Psych warfare on you.

When they deem you close enough these hunters start working in group, attacking from the sides, darting behind you or obstacles and leaping to higher ground to gain better vantage points all while seeming to coordinate with each other.

when charging at you are guaranteed to make your heart to go faster and make you scream like a little girl.

5. The Flood Carrier Forms – Halo series: Are an awful nastier creatures even than the Covenant, there are loads of types of these horribly mutated creatures and the worst of the bunch has to be the hunched carrier these fuckers are suicide bombers from hell.

They usually travel with a package of forms of combat and they like to appear when the action is at its most chaotic state, when you're busy trying and fighting other enemies.

In they death blast they would unleash a swarm of podlings, which would make your day that much more chaotic and more fuck up.

Sometime these fucker appear out of nowhere even when you're not fighting a enemy, they sometime appear and waiting on a corner for you to walk in to explode right on your face.

4. Hunter Ing – Metroid; Primer 2: The Hunter Ing is one of these enemies in the Metroid series that creep me out I mean they are capable of phasing in and out of the current timespace, making them unable to be hurt or locked onto until they return to normal and they are hard to kill.

They always attack you in very close quarters making more difficult the situation in combat, the Hunter Ing do not move fast but can be quite devastating when they attack.

They can use the tentacles from long distances and shift in and out of the current timespace, attacking enemies from distance increasing the creature's threat level.

3. Iron Maidens and Regeneradores – Resident Evil 4: You first see a Regenerador lying seemingly dead on a laboratory table, its twisted mouth and featureless grey skin creeping you out straight away but at least it isn't moving. Sadly that think don't stay that way for very long.

The Iron Maidens with decaying skin with a mouth full of jagged teeth, these tall monsters are slow moving, extremely difficult to kill and lethal are abnormally tall humanoid creatures that have spikes and nails sticking out of their bodies, their eerily large mouths and ability to impale you only make them creepier.

Perhaps one of the creepiest things about these enemies is they way it looks like having convulsions when they walks, lumbering towards you while its body constantly twitches and jerks.

Well that and the fact that they regenerative powers allow it to re-grow lost body parts within mere seconds, including its damn head and that creepy sound they make just creep out everyone!

The trick is shooting five parasites inside their bodies in order to stop those re-growing limbs fuckers, you need thermal imaging in order to see them though and trying to sharp shoot the small parasites while the hulking atrocity is bearing down on you is perhaps too much to bear.

Especially when you realize the last of the parasites is on the thing's back.

Both Regeneradores and Iron Maid just make your skin crawl, everything about them is so unnatural and the panic when you realize your guns are useless against them and you run out of ammo is immense you just want to run for your life.

Some game designers are just cruel.

2. Fury – Resistance 2: Anyone who has encountered a Fury on Resistance 2 game will know exactly why it is on this list but in case you need more convincing here is why.

The Furies can't be killed even with a Pulse Cannon or LAARK fire. When you fall under water and encounter one of these monsters, your only choices are swim faster toward a safes platform or die.

Furies are present in almost every body of water deeper than a puddle, they will normally simply circle around and wait for a victim to enter the water.

As I said before these creatures are invincible and if you comes in contact with one, it's a instant death traps and that is a fuck because the Chicago level is full of water everywhere and whatever is water, yeah you know theses fucker are there.

They can survive anything thrown at them and this is may lead you to stay away from the water for a while or forever!

1. The Berserker – Gears of War: Marcus Fenix and his crew(friends) have their hands full with a hordes of enemies who treat humanity to extinction but then this near-unstoppable monster, that comes at them full speed and pulverizes anything it touches appear.

The Berserker is in my number one on my list because, the first time you run into this 8' tall pretty lady who can't see but hear you, you will shit your pants because they are immune to bullets not even the Lancer's chainsaw can damage these pretty ladies.

That alone is pretty frightening but most of the time you'll also be forced to fight them in very close quarters and that is a fuck moments.

Berserkers aren't very common but they are always a challenge when they finally do appear. These blind enemies charge at you when they hear you so be careful whatever you do it.

The best way to defeat the Berserker is to lure them outside and nail her with the Hammer of Dawn well it's easy to said than done since it require patience to do it.

I don't get scared by video games. You know what's actually scary? Getting shot at with anti-tank shells.
Until you've faced death head-on and won, don't fool yourself into believing you're any kind of brave hero.

The G-man.

Read the rules and you see why I'm not put it in the list.
