Valse De La Lune - An Update · 2:58am Jul 13th, 2022

As those of you know, Valse De La Lune is a mildly successful story that I have written, and I cherish all of you who found it in your hearts to enjoy it.

Unfortunately, I have found a number of issues staring me in the face regarding the story, and I am choosing to take down the chapters currently available.

Fortunately, this is not the end, nor is Valse gone permanently. Instead, I am revamping it from the ground up to be improved and iron out the kinks that were left behind in the Final Draft. There will also be significant changes to the story itself, including the following.

-For story connectivity and proper connection with the reader, the story's characters will no longer be humanized. That's right, we're going back to equine roots.
-Extra sections will be added, pertaining to character information previously omitted that I intended to release in a prequel document. However, I will now put in a re-written Valse for your enjoyment.
-I am changing the title, as it's too confusing, and the thumbnail since it no longer matches up with a non-humanized story.
-Entire sections, endings, and chapters will be entirely rewritten or expanded upon.

Please note, that none of the characters will be changing, and specific story beats are the same! This will still be the same story you know, and love, just with ponies instead of humans and with a more extensive, and hopefully well-written story alongside it rather than what we had before. We still visit the Castle of the Two Sisters, Ever Vigilant is still there, and so are the sisters, and all the others I previously mentioned.

In this case, however, the final rebranding act is Evan's name. Such thing is one that did not sit well with me, so I am performing the final name-change, and reverting him back to his original name (as some of you remember):

Constant Vigilance is his new name, and the human nickname thing (Evan) is no more. For those of you who liked it, I'm sorry, but this is my personal decision.

Updates to Valse will be following in hopefully the coming few days, or even weeks, depending on my activity. I sincerely thank you for enjoying the story, which is why I am excited to improve upon it even more and give it a significant coat of polish that I believe it desperately needs.

Yours truly, GenericFriendship, your resident writer-person, and semi-talented artist.

As a side note, I will also be removing the medieval-fantasy theme, as my main inspiration for that has petered out and is no longer present. We are going back to modern roots as well, but the old-equestria theme will still be there, so not too much is lost.
