D is hired by a dying elderly treasure hunter of renoun to find the doorway to what he calls 'paradise' before an ancient vampire can get to it and he finds the means to no longer fear the sun. D fails at this task but decides to chase the vampire into a forest called... Everfree.
Mobile Suit Gundam: 0096: An end to Sorrow
Benahger Links and Mirida Cruz thought themselves dead. But they wakeup in full health in the Unicron and Banshee respectively in a frozen tundra near a city seemingly made of cristals. They find themselves among strange alien quadrupeds in a place where war at the scale humanity has wrought is unheard of. Can the two Pilots of Possibility find peace and freedom from the conflicts they left behind, or will their memories consume their chance in achieving happiness?
As for the second one it is mostly about those two actually getting something like a happy ending... (Marida deserved so much better.) But it also is about then not allowing ponies to make the same mistakes as humanity. As such they are trying their best to safely destroy, dismantle, or just disarm the Unicorn and Banshee Mobile Suits for the safety of the Equines. Basically humans from hundreds of years in our future wanting to bury the weapons of the war they both left behind.
Gundam Unicorn is fuzzy for me, but both sound like intriguing ideas!

I thought that one had more character driven potential considering that it's about making a life worth living.
That and Celestia and Luna reacting to Benahger's unofficial civilian conscript situation, and Marida's horrible life story. (Which Benahger knows all about, since they are both New Types and that comes with one of the most realistic and traumatic telepathy interpretations in Sci-fi.)
