State of the Author: A Mess · 11:46pm May 13th, 2022
Not gonna lie, my grand plans for this year have almost entirely gone up in smoke so far this year.
1. General chaos and reorganization at work
2. My parents moving into assisted living (and all the logistical stuff that comes with that)
3. My mom's Alzheimer's continuing to take it's toll. (I know to ignore it but it still hurts a bit every time your own mom looks you in the face and asks you where your parents went and why they left this house all to me like that)
4. *waves arms in general direction of the world in general*
5. Worst of all, a few weeks ago my dizziness/sinus/WTFisThis issues flared up again, and in a fairly large way. Got so bad it forced us to return home from a European vacation after only 1.5 days. (Thank god for travel insurance)
I'm a bit better now than I was last week, but good news! The neurology office my ENT referred me to can get me in a bit earlier than originally planned. My initial appointment is now moved up to... August 8th. 
So yeah, not a good first half of the year here. I promise, I try to push through and draft up what I can, but that's hard to do when you randomly feel dizzy for a few seconds or minutes at a time.
Anyway, I'm focusing on my health, trying to get the doctors to squeeze me in any way they can. Whatever this is, my ENT is out of tricks and I have to figure this out. I feel like it's breaking me down one bit at a time some days.
So I'm around! Just...not too active right now. But you're not getting rid of me that easy. ;)
