So I finally found where I'm going to post the next story(which is still a ways off) · 6:42am May 1st, 2022
The Exogenous God will be posted on bhooks.com, I have a couple reasons for selecting this specific site.(I might crosspost to other sites as well).
1. It's extremely important to me that readers be able to download what I write directly without having to fool with something like a website scraper or something like that. Most sites don't allow something like that and I generally read stuff on my kindle rather than my phone. If that wasn't an option I would have to create and format my own ebooks and provide a download link for them somehow, and that would likely cost me money somehow, not a fan of that.
2. Despite it being a really small community, I kinda just... don't care? I'm not looking for feedback on the stuff I write, and I've given up on finding another site like Fimfiction(I wish there was, I'm used to Fimfiction, I've been here for close to a decade now).
3. A lot of other websites I've seen just kinda rub me the wrong way for various reasons, Wattpad is filled with lots, and lots, and lots of stories that are just kinda 3 paragraphs long. I would go with Royal Road but the stories there just tend to go on forever, the top 3 best rated stories there are over 1500 pages long. Fictionpress is... well it's a subset of fanfiction.net, fanfiction.net sucks. Writersky is another that would be okay to post on, but it's one of those endless scrolling sites, I prefer when chapters end.(also none of these sites allow you to download my work and keep it offline forever).
Posting this new story is still a ways off though because I need to do more changes and editing than initially thought. The main character was an itumeyuk and that needed to be changed which required major changes to the overall story and different and longer descriptions. After all it's another introductory story to my original fiction and I don't want to just re-use the same fictional race twice when I've got so many.
