At this point in the story Firion, Onion Knight, Cecil, Bartz, Squall, and Tidus have acquired their crystals. At the same time the mane 6 are reading the reports and learning new secrets about the conflict and its as well as the truth about Warrior, they got only pieces but don't have the full picture yet.
The main storyline is starting to wrap up at this point.
Terra and Fluttershy would team up. Which is easy for Fluttershy because how gentle she is. They team up to take on Kefka which really helps each other out because they both support each other and give the other strength. Fluttershy would get revenge on Kefka for what he did to her at the Grand Galloping Gala. This would result in Terra getting her crystal.
Twilight would be around Cloud who would stand up to Sephiroth, who would continue to mock Twilight for being a slave to Celestia. Pointing out that she only has her friends because Celestia ordered her to. Just like in Cloud's tale in the game. They both would prove that their destinies are theirs to make. This would get Cloud's Crystal.
Both Spike and Rarity would travel with Zidane. Rarity wished to prove to Kuja that grace and beauty are not to be abused for evil ends. Spike simply couldn't let her go alone. Once they win the fight against him Kuja accepts the true meaning of friendship and art. Spike who gave a little help with against Kuja, got a little praise from Zidane which was just his way to help him out with Rarity. This would earn Zidane his Crystal.
Warrior is the only one left, and he knows that to get it, he needs to confront Garland. He finally goes to do so, however he does so alone as the 6 ask Celestia about what she knows about the conflict. She finally decides to reveal what she knows. She reveals this by first replying with the words. "Lu.....pa......gamhi dho?" Showing that Celestia can speak Lufenian. She reveals that many, many, years ago a scientist and his wife were experimenting with technology from a world of humans testing a travel system it caused them to arrive in Equestria, confirming that Warrior was not the first human to arrive.
Equestria welcomed the Scientist and his wife, in time they used the travel system to return home, but would return to Equestria to see their friends. This is Cid the Lufenian and his wife. Over time when the war would break out they said goodbye to their friends and never returned. They hoped the child they helped create from their experiments (Chaos) who was shunned for his monstrous appearance, would go to Equestria to find acceptance since the ponies were so kind. However the war broke out before they could. Celestia had no clues what was going on afterwards until she and Luna encountered Cosmos and other warriors as the conflict began. Cosmos seemed to know the Equestrians, she also bore an uncanny resemblance to the scientist's wife. Discord was already beginning to run amok in Equestria in the past and they joined the conflict hoping to gain to power to stop him.
Discord knew about the conflict but chose not to get involved in it at first, but did so at a later time. When one cycle of the conflict ended Cosmos sealed Equestria away right when Celestia and Luna stopped Discord hoping no one would endanger the world. She succeeded in keeping Equestria safe for a long time, until the Warriors of Chaos discovered the Chaos reports and tainted Nightmare Moon with the power of Chaos.
She has ideas about who Warrior is, unfortunately she doesn't know who he is. So the 6 go to confront Garland to get the answers themselves. They know that he knows.
