‘Star Wars: The Trials of the Force’ Will Be Going On A Short Hiatus After Act 1 Concludes · 3:45am Jan 14th, 2022

Hello, everycreature! Admiral Producer here. I’m sure the title has all of you either angry or happy depending on your thoughts on this story. Let me explain. So, Act 1 is close to completion. We only have one chapter left and then we’ll cut right back to the present with the Interlude Part 1. After the next chapter, the story will be going on a short hiatus until a not-yet-pre-determined time. The reason for that is, I’m losing my personal motivation to write this story at the moment.

This may come as a surprise because I’ve been cranking out chapters relatively quickly with varying quality or quantity. The truth is, its becoming harder for me to write this story. You all might’ve noticed that I barely post comments on the story anymore. That’s because they consistently get downvoted and I have no idea why. I love feedback and obviously something in the story didn’t sit well with someone, so I repeatedly asked what turned them off. But they never replied and they just keep downvoting my comments. I know the story is doing relatively well now, with 8 likes and a lot of views. But the 4 dislikes are concerning. I normally wouldn’t mind, but whoever hates my story has not just gotten up and left. They’re straight up trolling me without giving me a reason why. And one of my longest chapters resulted in the story getting a downvote.

It got so bad that I had to run to the Shameless Self-Promotion Bureau, the nice group who helped my story get noticed better, and promote the story a second time just so I could get some positive traction, or any sort of traction at all. I have a feeling that the controversial part came when Petro hit Katooni, a part which I changed immediately afterwards, but I don’t know. That moment was supposed to foreshadow Petro’s turn to the dark side, and I had to edit it out. The way I changed it still works, but I feel like I can’t write my chapters completely to my vision anymore. I always have to play nice so the story doesn’t get dislike bombed. And I don’t want to do that. I don’t want to compromise on an epic story that’s supposed to mark my official return to the Star Wars fandom.

‘Trials of the Force’ is special to me. Regardless if you like it or not, I had something special planned for this story. I still do, but now I don’t know if it’s even worth it anymore. I promise this is not the end. I will return to this story, maybe in the next week or couple days, I don’t know. Consider 2 weeks the longest. But I’m not getting any feedback on it like I want, and it’s always teetering between likes and dislikes, possibly leaning to one side or the other at any moment. For now, I’m done. I’ll crank out the last chapter of Act 1, and then I think I’ll actually start updating and promoting ‘Guardians of Harmony.’ At least I have genuine comments there. Right now, I’m writing the first Applejack chapter, so stay tuned!

Yeah, I know. This is a self-pitying post, but please try to understand. I love y’all so much and I’m grateful for being given a chance at all on this site. I want to use the chance that I’ve been given by the Brony community and use my gifts for those who actually value it. To the troll, screw you. To everyone else, I look forward to seeing y’all on ‘Guardians of Harmony.’ I’ll be promoting it soon, so if any of you are a part of the Shameless Self-Promotion Bureau, then keep an eye out for my upcoming promotion!

See y’all later!
