Playing Cyberpunk 2077 · 9:00pm Jan 9th, 2022
After waiting weeks for it to finish updating on my PS4, I finally got around to playing Cyberpunk 2077.
So far, I haven't encountered any glitches. And given how big the update was (43GB) and that it's been a year since Cyberpunk 2077 was released, I really shouldn't expect any glitches.
Really, the only problem I have at the moment is there are a few moments where I felt like I was being railroaded. For instance, I picked the Corpo lifepath (lifepaths are V's backstory and you have three choices, Street Kid, Nomad, and Corpo) and there were two occasions where I was forced to pick a certain dialogue option lest I keep repeating the option I wanted to pick. The first was during a talk with Jenkins where I was presented with two dialogue options, "And if I refuse?" and "This is a huge gamble". Since we both wanted to take out a rival corpo by the name of Abernathy, I had no reason to pick the "And if I refuse?" dialogue option. But after repeating the "This is a huge gamble" dialogue option, I relented and picked the "And if I refuse?" option. Same deal where I was confronted by some Arasaka agents and one of them demanded I give them the datashard containing all kinds of information on Abernathy. I was given two choices between giving up the datashard and asking one of them how did they find out about what me and Jenkins were planning. I asked then, after being given an answer, was back to the same set of dialogue options. I really didn't want to give up the datashard but, with no other options, I had no choice.
Other than those moments, I'm currently enjoying my experience with the game.
Though I won't deny I suck at the driving part.
PS: I had a lot of fun with the Evelyn braindance courtesy of me repeating Adam Smasher's "you look like a cut of fuckable meat" line.
