Fic where Pipsqueak grows up to be an agent of Luna. He goes around Equestria squashing crime that normal police forces couldn't handle/wouldn't be able to fix without causing uproar or general chaos. Kind of like Splinter Cell before it became an action game.
Pipsqueak himself functions as a lighter batman. He doesn't have tools for everything, but some basic tools and (mostly non-lethal) weapons to help him through missions.
His greatest asset, however, is the Princess herself. She keeps a constant mental connection between them, and in the most dire of situations, Pipsqueak can inhale a sleeping gas which sends him into a dream state, allowing him and Luna to work in perfect synchronization and giving him some magic nightmare powers for a bit.
Now lets say the fic starts out with this already having been happening for awhile. We can have flashbacks to his childhood and traning while he undergoes a mission more dangerous than any he's done before.
Probably even make it a LunaPip with gradually growing romance throughout the fic. He's put into a dangerous situation that she doesn't have complete control over and she watches over him night and day throughout the mission.
And to stop Luna from helping directly herself, have the mission start out more light than she first thought, then when the mission gets deadly something gets her stuck in Canterlot. Her sister, most definitely. She doesn't really like Luna's relationship with Pip (perhaps a backstory explaining how she fell in love with somepony and they died or w/e) but doesn't quite understand just how dangerous the situation Pipsqueak is in, as Luna won't tell her (the whole agent story is a secret between Luna and Pip).
Just some rambling thoughts as I noticed some recent people followed me. Have no idea why.

Throw in a bad one liner from Pip once per chapter and this would be perfect.
