    Good news and bad news

First, the good news: my progress with Twisted Metal: Black.

I’ve unlocked all 15 vehicles, obtained all but 2 trophies and unlocked all but 1 level. I have more things to say about the game as a whole.

I saw Fast X two days ago

IMO, the villain is the most interesting one yet.

    Why?

The trailers don’t really show it, but he’s pretty much Fast and Furious’ version of The Joker (though unlike Joker, he has a clearly defined backstory and motive for targeting the hero): funny and frightening, able to switch between them in the blink of an eye when he’s not being both at the same time.

I’ve turned 25 years old today

And because I can’t resist saying it:

”I’ve got something funnier than 24.”

    “What?”

    “25.”

    Enjoy the Silence

I first heard this song in an episode of Top Gear, but never knew the name of it until earlier this year.

0:42-0:59 - watching Clarkson blast around the track, in the rain, at the wheel of a bright red Volkswagen Golf.

    Enjoy the silence…

While I procrastinate make slow progress on my stories, here’s a story that I think is worth checking out.

If you like murder mysteries, then I’m certain you’ll enjoy…

Scroll down for details!

Series: MLP: FiM
Genres: Mystery, Thriller, Tragedy
Rating: M

Overview

Are you familiar with Danganronpa? If you’re not, here’s a crash course: a bunch of different people are held captive and given only one way to escape: literally get away with murder.

Although not a crossover, Trigger Happy Equines uses the Danganronpa story formula, and similar rules that are, happily, explained for the benefit of those not familiar with the inspirational material (i.e., me).

What To Expect

This story is dark, but despite what the rating may imply, it’s not a gore-fest; there are some graphic descriptions, but not enough to warrant a “gore” tag. Rather, the “dark” in this story is psychological. And I, for one, love that kind of thing: it’s gripping, it’s suspenseful, it keeps you on the edge of your seat. And that’s without mentioning the cliffhangers!

There’s fear, happiness, sadness and comic relief, but ultimately, Trigger Happy Equines is about the characters. The majority of the cast are OCs, but the author has explained the reason for this: it gives them much more room to explore and develop each character. We learn about their unique personalities, histories, and watch them interact and grow.

Here, I draw a parallel with the original Fallout: Equestria. I loved that story—it’s actually what got me into writing!—because the characters were interesting to read, even the bad guys. Trigger Happy Equines is the same way. And like Fallout: Equestria, Trigger Happy Equines is told through a first-person perspective, used to brilliant effect. The protagonist, the character who we’re experiencing this story through, is arguably the most interesting member of the cast.

This story is still a mystery, so there’s plenty of sleuthing involved in trying to figure out “whodunnit?”… and not just in the story itself. The author in fact encourages the readers to have a crack at solving the mystery!

Have I tried doing so? Well… let me put it this way: if every clue for solving a mystery is spelled out for me, whether or not I connect all the dots is rolling a pair of dice rigged to not land on the numbers I want. :applejackconfused:

That said, you don’t need to be good at solving mysteries to enjoy this story; it’s just as fun to sit back and enjoy the ride!
