Not really an announcement, but more of a fan'by moment that I would like to share.
Thorax in Uprooted is portrayed as rather... respectable. I mean, we all respect him - even (most of) the characters in the show with whom he has interacted - but he's usually portrayed as spineless, and a li'l' goofy.
But in Uprooted, he's actually assertive (the lessons with Ember have paid off; too bad Pharynx wasn't in the scene to see it), and Ocellus actually hid when she heard him call her name.
Ocellus knew what was coming. She's probably seen or had it before.
But, after hearing her plea, he softened. This, folks, is character development. Like Fluttershy, actually. It's been done over and over again, with most steps being baby-steps.
I love it. I love him (platonically, of course). I actually smile when he's on screen, because he's my favourite character. He's a good king. A mix between Twilight (over thinking), and Fluttershy (if he interacts with Iron Will, so help us).
Long live King Thorax! It's something we've all been thinking since season six, now.
TL;DR: Thorax is one of the best characters, with great character growth, especially in Uprooted. We all love him. Long live King Thorax.
