Updates on "My Movie" · 1:06pm Nov 22nd, 2021
News is steadily trickling out on the set of Left Behind: Rise of the Antichrist. Yeah, I haven't said, "Screw these people" and gone off. I still love the franchise and I've put money/time into it, so I'll gladly call it "my movie" no matter how craptastic it turns out...
First off, they announced the new Cameron "Buck" Williams, who is my second favorite character in the series. Based on this interview, Greg Perrow seems to have the character down: Buck is both a dedicated journalist and a simp for Christian girls I approve.
Next, they shared a photo of Neal McDonough, although they haven't specified which character he's playing yet. He's got a reputation for playing villains, so that narrows it down. Honestly, I really hope he's not Nicolae Carpathia, the Antichrist and my number one favorite fictional character of all time. McDonough's a good actor, but he doesn't give off the right "Nicolae vibes" for me. He would be way better as Jonathan Stonagal, an evil billionaire in the series.
They also posted this photo of a "back-alley shootout scene". Generic action film stuff.
Finally, Kevin Sorbo's wife, Sam, is going to be featured as well. Can't help but to roll my eyes at this clip when they talk about "not wanting to disappoint the book fans" considering how they've already cheated us, but whatever
Oy. Well I guess we'll just have to wait and see if this fails as a form of karma, I assume.
