Greetings, everyone! This is Mr. J once again with another movie review for today! This afternoon, I will be reviewing one of the DC animated movie installations of the Batman Unlimited series. This movie is entitled Batman Unlimited: Monster Mayhem. To be honest, I have never watched the TV series as I have never heard of it until at least a month ago and came across this movie in particular. The movie poster really intrigued me enough to have a look at this film and see what it is really about. After watching it for the first time, I genuinely enjoyed it for the story, action, and the entertainment.

Here we have Gotham City celebrating Halloween; and during that time, four super-villains cause havoc within the city under the leadership of The Joker. These villains are Solomon Grundy, Scarecrow, Silver Banshee, and Clayface. With them by his side, The Clown Prince of Crime will seek to take over the world and digitally enslave Gotham City to be his own kingdom. It is up to Batman, Nightwing, Red Robin, Cyborg, and Green Arrow to stop him before he succeeds.

Once again, Troy Baker did a phenomenal job in voicing The Joker. He’s basically yet another version of the namesake that I like so much. Since you all know why I love Joker, I don’t really need to explain in detail so I won’t repeat myself.

Roger Craig Smith did a fairly decent performance as Batman. I love voice actors who give their own take on popular characters instead of trying to mimic others. Smith’s take on the Dark Knight was well done in my opinion although not as good as Kevin Conroy’s.

The animation is quite amazing as well. All the character designs were likewise fantastic and were uniquely designed that would fit their character and their voice. My three favorite character designs are Silver Banshee (look how hot she looks), Joker (he’s very handsome), and Scarecrow (it appears he’s been hitting the gym!).

The character development and dialogue were spot-on if I may add. Even though some of the lines and jokes delivered fell flat, it was still well-voiced and executed perfectly. This type of story gives that adventurous vibe as if you’re there yourself trying to see what happens next. The interactions were among the best parts of the film for me such as the interaction between Banshee and Grundy. I really want to see more of those in the future Batman installments.

Overall, this was a very fun and enjoyable movie to watch as it was my introduction to this series. Wherefore, I rate this a 10/10! Now go out there and swear your allegiance to Joker, peasants!!

Peace!

You know, I actually just realized something. Your fanaticism for the Batman franchise has frequently been inspiring me to one day check out more Batman-related stuff! And more DC stuff, of course.
