We Bare Bears Wish Upon A Christmas Star Chapter 10 Back Together In Asher · 5:00am Oct 27th, 2021

Karla took the bears to the food court upon returning to the mall. Even if the cubs are inevitably banned after breaking the most important rule at the parade, they’re not even bothered about it, especially if they're still allowed to stay in the mall. All of their friends, including Amanda and Issac’s all sat at multiple tables. It wasn’t even close to four o’clock in the afternoon, and they barely have anything to do right now. Instead for the time being, they told Chloe, her parents, and Karla everything that happened.

“So you're telling us that a wish caused you to turn into cubs?” Chloe asked, while Ice Bear nodded.

“We didn’t have the choice to stay in our cave, because our friends might’ve mistaken us as…” Panda lowered his head in disappointment. “...little bears.”

Karla wished she could help the cubs, but after taking the truth for granted, she can’t imagine how they will take care of themselves. “If you really gonna stay as cubs forever, are you thinking about moving into this guy’s apartment?” She pointed at Tom.

“Griff and Issac are living in the same apartment as me and we didn’t agree on this.” Tom answered.

“The problem is we’ve learned about this just this morning.” Griff added. “We’re not gonna stay home to take care of them because we still have jobs.”

“Issac can’t do cub-sitting and work at the same time.” Issac added.

When the three bears look at each other upon reuniting, they’re not even in the position to find adoption because they’ve already got a home. “This permanent wish won’t be the same when all of you get older then us.” Grizz signed. “This has to be the saddest Christmas Eve ever.”

The grizzly bear notices Nom Nom walking in the halls while his entourage is carrying Andy’s drone. When Karla saw what Grizz was looking at, she recognized who that Koala was. “Have you met him before?” She asked.

“Let’s just say. we have a mixed relationship with him.” Panda replied. “But Grizz is the closest friend to him.”

“I’ll be right back, I need to talk to him.” Grizz jumped off the table, making his way to Nom Nom who’s looking for him. “Nom Nom!”

“I know you're not Grizz Jr. Grizz.” The koala rolled his eyes. “The less said about how I know about it, the better.”

Grizz immediately stopped right in front of the koala while his eyes shot open. Even his brothers couldn’t believe it when they heard him. “Nom Nom barely gets fooled, that's often more than I give him credit for.” Panda said dumbfounded.

“Or he's not in the Christmas mood to get into the spirit.” Tom added.

“Don’t look at me like that.” The koala crossed his arms. “I just want you to know that I’m thankful for what happened to Andy.”

“But...what about my film?” Grizz asked.

“No offense, but it was dead on arrival. If you ask me, Crowbar Jones and Christmas don’t really fit together.”

Grizz didn’t agree with him but on the other hand, his wish is what caused everything to change. “If your wish came true, your plans wouldn’t be the same.”

“Except I would be careful of what I wish for. And knowing how your brothers got into the same problems as usual, they would rather think about their future than celebrate Christmas.”

When Grizz turned to his brothers, they didn’t have the best day, even if it wasn’t meaningless. And after everything they went through at the mall, inside and outside, there’s no point in being around a place to make everyone happy in the end.

Just when he turned back to the koala, he walked away with his entourage protecting him. “By the way.” He responded. “If there’s one thing I could take from today is that you didn’t deserve this.” He smiled while staring at him. “Soon enough, everything might work out for you.”

Grizz grew a smile from Nom Nom’s respectful gesture. While he headed back to his friends, Nom Nom and his entourage walked past the magician who came back after the whole parade came to an end. She hides behind the post, spying on the three bears with their friends.

“You sure you're gonna help them?” She spoke to Estellar from her phone.

“As long as I get an answer, I’ll take it from here.” Estellar spoked back. “At the very least, I think Nom Nom knows they’ve turned into cubs.”

Once Grizz got back on the table with his brothers, Karla wondered if she could take care of them all once she gets home soon. “You know I would get my paycheck after working on the parade before I leave, but since I had to cut my work short, I might consider adopting you.”

“Karla, when we got older, we stayed in our cave in the woods.” Panda spoked. “We did want to be adopted, but it’s no longer a top priority.”

“Yeah, I found it hard to believe they went all over the world for that reason.” Griff commented.

“I’m fully aware of it but if there’s one thing I never gave you, it's an ultimatum.” Karla smiled. “It’s mostly for you three saving me from David.”

“You're right.” Grizz remembering. “The last thing I’ve remembered is where we got stranded in Japan...which is what we wanted to go.”

“Oh there’s something I remembered.” Panda turned to Grizz. “Kazumi was at the parade.”

“Yeah, even it was surprising when he remembered her.” Amanda smiled.

“It kind of feels weird if you ask me.” Kenny commented.

“Let’s not get side tracked please.” Karla said in slight annoyance. “I would apologize for not having the rescue team on the boat to take you in, but I was sleeping at the time and wasn’t aware of the situation.”

“Hey, it sometimes happens to one of us.” Sari added.

“My point is, if you're willing to come back to your cave, Nobody would keep you occupied. Even as grown bears into little cub bodies, life still resets on all of you.”

The three bears looked at each other, knowing full well the wish will probably never reverse after today. Not to mention it was the least of their friends who'll be aware of their youth problem. “This wish is a lot more meaningful than what we’ve tried today.” Grizz sitting on the table.

“If this ever happened to one of us, we would be running back to our parents.” Tom replied. “And even with that, we would have no choice but to go back to kindergarten.”

“And let’s not forget you're not on the same levels as me in college.” Chloe lowered her head. “I doubt my teachers would accept three cubs when they graduate high school.” Upon lifting her head up, everyone stared at her while the bears felt offended by the idea. “Did I say too much?”

Ice Bear nodded from her response. “Issac agrees.” Issac looking at Ice Bear.

“Chloe.” Mr. Park called to his daughter’s attention. “We’re gonna be leaving soon.”

“We really need to wrap our gifts for our family tomorrow.” Mrs. Park added.

When Chloe turns to the bears, she can’t be able to help them in their predicament even after Christmas ends. “Well, at least we can watch TV together when you come over to our house.”

“Hey, we’re still friends right?” Grizz smiled.

“That’s never gonna change.” Chloe giggled. “Not to mention the parade was unforgettable for all of us.”

“For better or worse.” Riley clenching his teeth.

After Chloe’s family left the food court with the package they received from Issac, Grizz thought about Karla’s ultimatum. It won’t be the same to travel all over the world but he and his brothers will get what they used to want.

“So I’m wondering.” Grizz turning to Karla. “Are you part of a family?”

“Not really.” Karla answered. “I stayed single, so I’m not engaged.”

“Is that gonna be a problem by taking care of us?”

“Well, I can send you to a daycare center while I’m working, but you'll get used to it.”

Just when Grizz accepted Karla’s ultimatum, Panda didn’t forget about their cave. The moment they step into Karla’s place, their own place wouldn’t be taken care of when no one’s living in it.

“What about our cave?” Panda asked. “Should we at least stay there for tonight before we move in? So we can enjoy it while it lasts?”

“Ohhh, I never thought about it.” Grizz lowered his head.

“You want me to sleep over for tonight?” Karla offered. “I don’t have a problem really.”

“We would come along, but we still have to do our jobs.” Griff responded.

“And driving back to our places for the night.” Amanda added.

“But we can come over on Christmas morning.” Tom smiled. “In case you need help on moving a few things.”

“There’s quite a lot of things we want to bring so...I’ll text Chloe about it.” Panda picking up his phone.

“Well...since you probably don’t have anything planned tonight, we can watch Christmas movies if you want.” Karla smiled. “And checking out the cave made me curious.”

“Hey, it’s so comfortable when you see it for the first time.”

As the bears jumped down from the table, Karla got off her chair. “If you give me the directions, I’ll take you to your cave.”

The magician heard everything from the conversation. Unfortunately for her, she may have to follow the bears from where they live. While she was texting Estellar from her phone, Karla and the bears walked past her. As for their friends, they went their separate ways in the mall, more focusing on the now instead of tomorrow.

“This is gonna take much longer than I thought.” The magician finished her text response.

“What are you doing?”

The magician jumped after Kazumi spoke from behind. “Nothing! I was just texting.”

“Sorry. I was just looking for the little bears.”

“They’re leaving, but I think I can follow them.”

The Japanese chief, who spent little time with the cubs, felt disappointed that the parade ended a little late. “Is it okay that you take me? Because I’ve met them before and I can help if you need it.”

The magician did remember she came across her back when the show halted. By the looks of it, she has more knowledge than she’ll ever have. “We should try to make an impression since I’ve heard they’re struggling in youth.”

“Yeah, I don’t think they’re supposed to be cubs after two decades.”

“Let’s get to my car.”
