    Bionic leg for Hallie.

Oh. It was a techprof persona core, not a regular persona core. You used it for research, not starship control. Oh well. Use to learn FTL drive then, Stab, arriving back at base, guessed.

    More Lenere tribe visitors.

Stab ordered the wall where the ship would go to be thickened up.

    Part Eighteen

Day Two-Hundred and Twenty-Four, several times...

((No clue as to the temperature thing. After much reloading experimentation, the only thing that worked was moving the new heaters to the outer corridor. No idea why rooms near the other larger corridors weren't affected.

Also, the over-wall cooler in the dining room was backwards. Dammit.))

    Restructuring happened.

Part Twenty-Seven

Day Two-Hundred and Ninety-Eight.

Okay.

Stab would try this quest now.

Oh, they got elite mercenaries to help. Okay. That was... Concerning...

...

The "elite troops" armed with assault rifles, had a combined shooting skill of... 3.

3.

Thanks, girls.

Okay, Medium psychic drone verses male. That was handleable.

Stab had thoughtfully built a third mortar. As the enemy didn't have shields or a mortar, Stab figured they'd just try bombarding the enemy to start with.

No time like the present...

Mortar shells (from Christian, Macy and Maelan) on the highly explosive things first.

Nothing hit, but the enemy were milling around...

THAT's Better!

Aim for the mech assembler!

Meanwhile, Stab would see if she could lure them into the kill-box a little bit.

Well, two more got lured into mortar range, and the mortars had done a good job on totalling the assembler.

Oop. Out of mortar shells. Time to finish the hard way!

((Reload, because the game thinks "attack this" means "charge into contact."))

Mfff. Iffy. Those centipedes take a lot of killing and it wasn’t interested in coming to them...

Macy had gone down due to being caught in an EMP burst but was now fine.

Day Two-Hundred and Ninety-Nine.

Everyone to rest and recover!

Hallie, unfortunately, went on an ambrosia binge due to her poor mood.

Plasteel storage!

While everyone was resting and so on, the pet hauling zone was expanded to allow the dogs to start hauling stuff in.

Well. No prizes for guessing who wears the pants, then...!

Double bed for Beatriz's room, then.

Day Three-Hundred!

Visitors from the Black Empire arrived.

HEY! Bitch! Don't you start beating up the staff or you're organs will be out, sunshine!

The outside drill was done; Stab ordered it brought to do the inside job ASAP.

Mantis joined. Guess they better start fixing him up...!

Stab ordered a load of trees cut down as they were ACTUALL running low on wood!

Uranium slug turrets done - now for cryosleep caskets.

Day Three-Hundred and One.

Snow was converted! They'd better look at going for those components soon...!

Stab elected to set out for that other steel mining camp. Did they need the steel? Not really now, but that wasn't Stab's point. She would take Falcon, Navarro, Sam and Justina with Kasil for variety.

((FRACK OFF game. Surgery on Jenni FAILED when in the hospital with Sawbones at 106%. FRACK OFF! Reload and HAH, literally saved juts before.))

Okay, they'd lost Bonehaul, but Stab had ordered another muffalo to be tamed and apparently it'd had gotten done. They had two girls now. Stab promptly ordered three more (two females and a male) to be tamed. It was not like they were in any danger of running out of hay or anything...

As evening drew in, an insulted Maelan had a Sad Wander. Whatever, dude.

Day Three-Hundred and Two.

Cryosleep caskets done – next, sod, it piano.

Three more tamed muffalos! Not only would this be a nice supply of wool, but extra pack animals.

Mining work site.

The opposition did not last long.

Right, then! Grab everything and head back to base!

Meanwhile, prisoner Mike was converted.

Dusk disallowed a chunk of the pen, since too many fragging eggs were getting eaten by the dogs.

Oh for...

Getting them even to bed was a problem (since half of them had Sam or Navarro as master...) Dusk authorised the use of medicine to treat them.

Day Three-Hundred and Three.

At nine in the morning, Stab and company arrived back.

Piano done! Circadian influence next!

Stab was fed-up with the animals starving. She was going to make a mini-fridge right next to the main animal beds and have it stocked with kibble.

Finally, the drilling in the bedroom was done! Still a bit to do in the corridor, but the bedroom was clear for use.

Day Three-Hundred and Four.

PFFT, no!

Christian decided it was party time.

At least the dogs had recovered.

Circadian influence done. Now, recon armour.

Why, and why are you two even out there?! Well, whatever, Navarro beat the crap out of Justina without a single blow.

And with that idiocy, we're done for today.

Part Twenty-Eight

Day Three-Hundred and Five.

Well, while you're down, Justina, have a bionic leg. Also, Mantis, have one as well, that brings you closer to up to speed (once you shake that addiction anyway...)

A bulk trader arrived in orbit, but, they had little for sale (aside from some components), so Stab used them to dispose of some random junk (like slate beds and lamps from the raids).

Stab realised she could SMELT enemy weapons for more steel. She set up standing orders to smelt any melee weapons (save clubs, plasmaswords, longswords and monoswords and any persona weapons) and any ranged weapon of below normal quality.

All frickin' ready?

Oh dear. Prisoner Mike went berserk. Barracuda and her club went to... anesthetise him...

((SERIOUSLY, game? He destroyed her FINGER? We haven't even got through one day today and you're being mardy as all get out. Fine. I can't be arsed to do the day over, since I've only JUST got Stab and Balgucha to finish the bloody parts they left lying around, but that's IT, you get no more RNG-screws tonight, sunshine.))

Okay, thanks to random leaving stuff around shenanigans, they now had three aesthetic noses.

...

Stab didn't think very highly of many people, apparently she had nearly the least amount of friends and such. Right, she was having one of those. Falc would get another (the third being saved for Alligator.)

Day Three-Hundred and Six.

Uh-oh, Trocur was approaching 70 again (and aging damage). *sigh* fragdammit of COURSE she was the one working on the bionic arm, so if she was sent to de-aging.

((Actually, on a reload, she didn't get Frail again.))

Right, as soon as she'd done that component, she and Kasil were going to be doing at least one and possible two additional de-aging cycles.

Component mining expedition! Dusk would lead out Mantis, Espinosa, Worm, Euphemia, Maelan, Balgucha and Beatriz, along with the all the muffalos, donkeys plus Darkhoof and Oliphant.

Stab was in a work frenzy... Though she was barred on doctor's orders from doing anything until the anaesthetic wore off.

Trocur, Kasil go get younger now!

Barracuda, Dan, go get you missing fingers and toes replaced with bionic arm and leg respectively...

Day Three-Hundred and Seven.

Hopefully a quiet day, since so many of the colony were down or away...!

Stab would be taking the important measure of making a love enhancer for herself. Purely, you see, for the benefit of everyone around her because of the mood buff. Definitely.

Oops. Snow was still on convert, not recruit. Dangit.

A haunted duck? Wha... Oh, HUNTED duck. Nah, the rewards was honour, goodwill or uranium and a not especially impressive to Stab persona plasmasword.

Recon armour was done! Marine armour next!

Visitors from the Lenere tribe arrived. Nothing worth worrying about recruitment-wise.

They probably ought to use the now spare-room to make into another workshop to add one, maybe two more fabrication benches....

(NO game, we're not having a prison break, sod off, I told you weren't getting anything else today, I don't care if I have to reload half a day.))

Day Three-Hundred and Seven AGAIN.

Start with workshop expansion right now this time.

Interesting...

Lenere visitors again...

Three more solar generators, since they kept adding power-using stuff...

THAT'S better.

*sigh*

Eclipse, because of COURSE...

*sigh*

Fine time to get to the component mining spot, wasn't it?

Yahuh. Knew that was going to happen.

Stab had everyone fire-fighting outside the base, simply to not let all the trees burn down.

Dusk, meanwhile, had guessed right - they just barely hadn’t mined all the components out before nightfall. No time to make tables or anything, but they'd be leaving before very long in the morning anyway.

Day Three-Hundred and Eight.

Dusk set off home. It wasn't worth slowing the caravan down to bring a load of sandstone chunks, so they didn't bring a lot back with them.

And there we shall leave it for today.

Part Twenty-Nine

Day Three-Hundred and Eight continued.

The Lenere tribe people left 25 medicine as they left.

The eclipse started to end soon after.

...

Sleep accelerators have a facing in order to be active. Half of the colonies sleep accelerators had NEVER been active.

FRACK.

DAMMIT.

Stab built a nice excellent charge rifle. Her old one would go to Falcon and Falc's SMG would go to Alligator.

Oohhh. Kay...

Hmm.

The battle went... Poorly. Alligator was downed and there were quite a few injuries. Three insects downed, though and... Huh. Megaspiders and spelopede could be tamed and trained. Well, if they survived, sure, why not?

...

((Because you kind of can't. since there appears to be a bug (ironically) preventing insects from being rescued, so unless Navarro got very lucky with the tending, it weren't happening.

Leo Galaxy (Beatriz' ex) was back with a load of visitors from Southeastern Alia.

Day Three-Hundred and Nine.

Well, they got one out of it! Good job, Sam!

Dusk and co arrived back to wonder what the frack was going on...

And a megaspider!

With the store of components, Stab from her bed (so much for another day of inspired go frenzy...) order four more bioscuptor pods and neural superchargers.

Since Stab was already in hospital she might as well have Sawbones put the love enhancer in...

And Mike was in!

Day Three-Hundred and Ten.

Summer again.

Trocur and Kasil were out - and as soon as the pods were refilled, they'd be back in.

Workroom two was laid out at last!

Aha, the female tortoise was tamed. So MAYBE, at long last Tortoise 1 could breed, which was the whole point of them taming him in the first place...

Leo and his mates left some decent bows as they left. Woot.

Back into the pods, Trocur and Kasil!

Manhunting racoons.

Okay. Well, it could be a LOT worse...

Though there WERE a lot of them...

Marine armour research was complete. Dusk decided (as Stab was woozy) to research flatscreen tellies next.

And Mike for some STUPID reason, was outside, so they all followed him RIGHT back into the base and skip all the traps.

((No. As - as USUAL this happened JUST before the daily save, do the day over again. With the game playing "gotcha" it simply wasn't feasible to manage this and I wasn't having everyone injured again not even having got over the last one.))

So, back to nine in the morning. No rewards from the guests this time because who knows how it works.

((No game, you made me do a day over, you don't get to plop a mechanoid cluster or anything down, we reload the raid you've decided to have until I get something I like now.))

Manhunting wargs. Better.

All killed, no damage.

Day Three-Hundred and Eleven.

Trocur and Kasil went into the pods again.

*sigh*

Labradors 2, 7 and 8 got plague again. This time, Navarro transferred the one that Trocur was the master off, drafted/undrafted and sent them to bed, with medicine unlocked.

Stab was going to out a little shelf up outside the work rooms for gold and silver. No, not silver, plasteel, even.

Speaking of plasteel, they had enough to start replacing the granite firestops in the killzones with plasteel.

Day Three-Hundred and Twelve.

Stab ordered a dozen flak vests to be made. She wasn't sure who didn’t have one yet, so it seemed wise to make a load.

Actually, they could use something to get the low-level crafters up. Stab ordered the lower level crafters (which included Maelan and Mantis who had passions for crafting) to make a dozen camelskin dusters. With the bench unplugged, so it would take longer. ((And thus get more XP, since XP was over time not by item for some reason...))

Stab ordered a piano made too.

Flatscreen tellies done. Well, might as well star on spaceflight basics, unless they wanted to research a load of stuff that wasn't very useful.

And FINALLY, now was recruited.

Graveyard killzone now more resistant!

Stab elected to set up the other deep drill at that plasteel deposit. They'd mine a little hole to put a lamp in for good measure.

Well frack Stab and call her ghoul, they DID manage to tame a second scolepede! Neat!

Day Three-Hundred and Thirteen.

Stab was a bit tired of everyone leaving jobs undone on the fabrication benches, so she started assigned benches, so that the jobs wouldn't get half-done.

Piano would go in the secondary rec-room.

Stab was going to build a couple more autocleaners.

Wood was a bit... up and down. So Stab ordered 50 individual popular tree plots around the burial lake. That would keep in pretty, but also give them a steady wood supply.

Oh, cool! The megaspider bonded to Beatriz!

Ambrosia spouting. A growing zone with no sowing allowed - Stab would see if this meant that they’d keep it around.

Barracuda, Balgucha and Trocur (and probably Stab eventually) would be getting bionic stomachs, which would mostly just reduce their rest time. After that, Balgucha would be cranking out noses and torsos to make everyone hawt.

Black Empire visitors arrived as the day drew to a close.

Day Three-Hundred and Thirteen.

Three more solar generators...

Marriage time!

Oh, neat. Christian automatically re-assigned to Beatriz's room.

All the strawberry plants outside got blight. Annoying.

Day Three-Hundred and Fourteen.

Starflight basics done.

Day Three-Hundred and Fifteen.

Well, they weren't quite ready yet. Or even close...

Day Three-Hundred and Fifteen.

As Stab and co continued to steadily craft on we will leave it there.

Part Thirty

Day Three-Hundred and Fifteen continued.

Uneventful day at the base.

Day Three-Hundred and Sixteen.

The Black Empire visitors left, leaving medicine.

First marine helmet done - for Navarro.

Machine persuasion done - vacuum cryosleep caskets next.

Stab ordered six transport pod launchers to be built.

Hmm.

Useful.

But they couldn't do it at the moment, they needed 40 goodwill. But if it didn't expire, it was worth knowing.

Do unto you have X was a very useful command, Stab was only really just starting to realise. She now put standing orders on each bench to make components if the stock got below 20 and advanced components if the stock got below 13. That would hopefully help a lot.

Stab figured they had enough resources to be a nit frivolous again. She had steel tiles put down the corridor from the barracks...

Ah well. Hex tile the rec room.

... And had the guest room tiled with sandstone - no, better, slate.

Speaking of visitors, this coincided with some from Lenere Tribe.

Day Three-Hundred and Seventeen.

FINALLY!

Starfight sensors to be researched next...

Insect jelly was a "dangerous food type," huh?

...

Carpets REPLACE the floor, not go over the top of it. Well. Huh. Good job Stab only had a square of carpet added to each end table the guest room, then.

Day Three-Hundred and Eighteen.

((I'm not sure that last patch did what it was supposed to on calendar events...))

An exotic goods trader arrived.

SWEET. Techprints for poison implants, cataphract armour, a learning device, components and advanced components, a archotech leg and a psychic insanity lance. Frack, after selling of thrumbo horns, organs, and statues, they could just afford it, but it nearly cleaned them out of silver. Luckily, they could mine that big lump that crashed a while back.

Macy, you stay at base a lot, you have the lance!

Nice way to celebrate industrial advent!

Eeeh... Did they really need any extra bodies right now?

((Especially given that this morning, the game was stuttering a bit for some reason.))

Everyone was up. Industrial advent time!

Ace!

Dusk was getting the new leg. Learning assistant would go to Macy (to compensate for her slow learning - Stab honestly thought they'd put one in already, but apparently not.)

Day Three-Hundred and Nineteen.

Components were plentiful enough to warrant making another couple of hospitals beds.
And Stab might as well get her new stomach put in, too.

DAMN IT. Solar flare. Well, guess they were having a day where lots of wood would be cut, then.

WAIT. Orbital trade beacons had a RADIUS? DAMN IT! Stab thought they had more statues to sell - and they did - but they weren't in the radius. Frack! Move the beacons!

Okay, the second deep drill was moved to at least one place where there was limestone - apparently on top of where there was limestone wasn't it. The spot near an old iron deposit was one, but they found a better one just outside the pet barn.

The flare ended at lunch-time.

Rec room refloored!

Day Three-Hundred and Twenty.

Using more or less then last of the current slate, Stab had Worm and the other two couple's room slate-tile-floored.

Aesthetic nose for Sam and Navarro.

Royal tribute collector arrived. Yeah, Stab didn't care.

Starflight sensors done - time for cataphract armour!

Stab decided it was time to consider how they would build the starship, and plan some space out.

Day Three-Hundred and Twenty-One.

More Lenere tribe visitors.

Stab ordered five more (plasteel) turrets built in the graveyard.

Oh yeah, there was a big slate meteor. Might as well mine that out, for more slate floor tiles (which just looked better to Stab than sandstone).

Aesthetic nose for Trocur...

Stab ordered the East Gate defences to be upgraded with plasteel walls and turrets.

Day Three-Hundred and Twenty-Two.

Stab set Trocur and Balgucha to priority 2 crafting same as her. Barracuda was the best plant-expert, so it wasn't practical to set her. Maelan was up to about seven, but Stab thought they needed to get Mantis on as soon as Maelan finished his next job, since Mantis had two passions in crafting.

Aesthetic nose for Sawbones...

Maelan was done with the pigskin dusters, so Mantis was started on making camelskin dusters (and set to priority 2 crafting/tailor/smithing).

Slate floor for Espinoza...

Aha. They'd found a steel mining site. Nice.

Day Three-Hundred and Twenty-Three.

A... shaman merchant from Lenere dropped by.

Manhunting boomrats.

Crap.

First thing. Seal all the doors apart from one to the east for the caravan. Maybe if the boomrats milled around, they could mortar them?

Crud, the things were running for the East Gate to attack Christian. He was ordered to the mortar anyway.

Well, at least they could set themselves on fire.

Cataphract armour was finished. Further researched was halted, though, as Stab wanted another component mine.

The most annoying part of this was waiting for them all to die so the forest could be put out...

Oh, a rainy thunder storm was starting, that would help a lot!

The trader had nothing at all, so Haille just sold them some sandstone statues.

((Despite my best efforts a single moment's inattention let Dan and an autocleaner get caught in an explosion. Darn it.))

The Lenere visitors left a good quality machine pistol. Cool.

As Oscura, Falcon and Dusk were dealing with the last, annoying straggler, a lightning bolt hit one of the muffalo calves and killed one of the hens.

Okay, bionic arm for Alligator (to remove her scar).

...

Frackdammit. Sawbones needed to have his new nose taken OFF, because he needed the gastro-analyser. Oh well, aesthetic shaper could go in instead, since one was just finished.

Now, see, if the reward was worth spit, Stab might have been inclined.

Stab elected NOT to be building power armour, but instead to crank out helmets first.

The aesthetic nose went to Kasil, because why not maximise her beauty, right?

Day Three-Hundred and Twenty-Four.

Crafting, crafting, craft...

The hell did that come from?

Put it out, everyone who's no busy! We need to woods to burn for fuel and such!

The last aesthetic shaper (for this round, anyway) would go to Alligator, to extra-compensate for her previous ugliness.

Ahaha!

Component lump. Good job, Jenni!

No time like the present. Dusk set out with Espinosa, Beatriz, Euphemia, Worm, Maelan, Mike and Snow, with a big cavalcade of pack animals.

Well, with the usual terrible timing, Dusk set off at midnight.

Day Three-Hundred and Twenty-Five.

Autumn once more.

Black Empire visitors arrived.

Dusk arrived at the mining site.

This time...

((Pause to drag Mum's dogs in, discovered they were barking at a very brave or daft hedgehog on the patio.))

Ahem.

This time, Dusk was smart enough to put animal sleeping spots down right away, so the animals didn't wander far. It was only one, so maybe if they were fast, they could mine and go.

No, everyone was trying to sleep.

Dusk pushed everyone hard, and before night fell, they loaded up and headed towards home.

Dan was the first recipient of a cataphract helmet. (As a meleer.) Trocur had accidently started on one (because Stab hadn’t set the job to her alone), so she finished it to get out of Stab's way and back onto her own bench.

Day Three-Hundred and Twenty-Six.

Stab had a few more autodoors put in.

Underground Jade. Not what Stab was really looking for, Jenni.

Yeah, that wasn't coming out.

[imh]https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/1688276439300090044/36E485BBF563E270F162E1B90B5B02095537E81C/?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false

Dusk arrived back!

DAMMIT.

Right, clearly Navarro needed an aesthetic shaper, too. They'd keep at it.

((ARE YOU SERIOUS.

Yeah, no, game, we are not having someone's leg destroyed by a FISTFIGHT. RELOAD and FRACK OFF with social fighting. Fortunately the last save was just before Jenni found that useful jade deposit.))

Steel, this time, but not in a good spot. Carry on, Jenni.

Silver, just outside the walls, from a random. Keep at it, Jenni.

Now Dusk was back, Mike would have his left bionic arm put in, and get rid of the nasty scar.

Okay, the dusters were done. Mantis' crafting wasn’t to 8 yet, so Stab had him make half-a-dozen devilstrand button-down-shirts.

They REALLY needed someone to come past that wanted to buy clothes...

Day Three-Hundred and Twenty-Seven.

Stab tentatively set up an outfit (duster, pants, flak vest, button-down shirt, various headgear), though she didn't apply it yet.

She also (except for Barracuda, who was teetotal) a policy of One Drink Per Day for everyone, so no-one got drunk or anything. Pre-emptively.

They had pretty much used all the plasteel, so until the deposits had yielded more, no more helmets.

Okay, first shaper to Navarro.

Responsible drinking!

((Oh for... RELOAD. The autoslaughter, for some reason, despite being on the SAME settings for muffalos as Stab had always had for pigs and alpacas, decided to slaughter all the adult muffalo. Actually, come to it, it looked like all the adult female pigs were gone too. Did it get fracked up in the patch again?))

Day Three-Hundred and Twenty-Seven AGAIN.

Blah blah, outfits, drink restrictions, stuff... Navarro shaper.

They now had over a thousand limestone bock, so Stab ordered a halt to the chunk mining.

Couple more shirts, Mantis, you're almost to crafting 8, and then you can start cranking out components!

7.98. Dammit, make a flak vest.

Day Three-Hundred and Twenty-Eight.

The Black Empire visitors were leaving awfully disappointed. But, well, if they refused to eat the food they had on them nor buy any from the freezer, that was their problem, not Stab's.

Again, Stab REALLY didn't care about all these persona weapon rewards. And the rest of it wasn't worth it.

Finally! Mantis, start cranking out components!

Lenere tribe visitors arrived.

Sam, shaper.

Another short. Time to flip the switch on the second battery room...

((Plasteel deposit in a stupid place where it would again be impossible to get to, right under the chemfeul refinery. Reload. No zzzt this time.))

Male psychic soothe. Neat.

THAT'S better. Steel in a relatively accessible place.

Yeah, okay, no. One drink a day meant apparently the colonist thought that was a MINIMUM requirement and everyone was getting alcohol tolerance. Policy set to no drugs, then.

Aesthetic nose for Barracuda.

Right, as a final thing for the day, Stab was going to do one of the little quests for the Lightcaller, the hidden compound quest from evilness knows how long ago.

She would go with Dusk, Oscura and Jenni (the research team) and go hack things. Off in the shuttle provided by Poskas of the Black Empire.

[img][/img]https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/1688276439300091637/6D9C311C29DAB825E8641966EF346EA21320620F/?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false

Here was the compound, shrouded in mist.

A hermetic crate and a terminal.

More crates and apparently, an unstable fuel node that might explode. Great.

Hacking was underway.

An enemy was approaching too. Oscura attempted to dismantle the unstable fuel cell.

Uh-oh. Two more incoming, one of whom who was Justina's sister.

Fuel cell dismantled. Stab grabbed a couple of looted advanced components and they ran for the shuttle.

Just made it!

As Stab arrives back at base, we shall leave it there.

Part Thirty-One

Day Three-Hundred and Twenty-Nine.

Okay. With that hidden compound done, Stab would look at the second part of the Lightcaller's location - the space drone hack.

Well.

THAT was convenient for once.

Now the Bialei would be sending raiders every 8 hours until the drone was hacked. But hey - they were inside the walls, so that was alright. Jenny, get on it. 750 progress to hack.

Of course, with Jenni's hacking speed, they might be lucky to GET there before she was done...

Okay, the Bialei would likely get in ONE raid before Jenni was done - maybe two is she slept (Stab would see how big the raids were!)

Bottlenecked by Plasteel now. While they had quite a bit in the deposits, it only crept out at about 10-11 per cycle instead of steel's, like, 75.

Ah, screw it then, Stab! Make a minigun, there's enough components spare!

Actually, they could crank out a couple more hospital beds too, to make up the five. And one for the prison hospital too!

Two hour before the first raid, and Jenni was up to 501/750 hacking. Good girl!

Oh, speaking of good girls, Oscura's first hospital bed was masterwork! Right, that went in the centre slot, then!)

Star manoeuvre, Jenni!

Pahahahahahahahahaha! Wow, okay.

No-one was even going to pause work, were they?

Oh, wait, okay, they would, she was attacking the wall.

Barracuda, go and conk her out. Dan, Sam, you go stand by as support, but hold off. Stab wanted some organs. The raider was beautiful (but also only 15...), but a slothful psychopath, so not recruit material, sadly. Wow, though, the Bialei kinship was kinda irresponsible, sending out a lone child armed only with a club. (Or maybe they wanted to be rid of her too...!)

Barracuda, how did you cut her arm off with a single blow, you're using a MACE!

Wow, and Stab thought maces were supposed to be better at downing people.

Apparently, it's CLUBS. Whoops.

Not even a skull to take.

Stab was going to tell Jenni to pause the hacking to get more raiders, but Stab was distracted by Snow becoming exhausted, since apparently, she was trying to recolour apparel for ages for some reason and Jenni finished.

Oh, THAT was less good.

Lenere Tribe visitors.

WAY too many, in fact.

Dangit. Cooler blowed up. Still, two parts (of five, apparently) of the Lightcaller's location done.

Okay, ordering Snow to recolour her gear again seemed to clear the queue she had. (She was nearly at 0% on rest, recreation and food!)

Well, guess some of the guests would be sleeping in the cells, then.

Switch to marble club for subdual next time, since they had one in stock.

Day Three-Hundred and Thirty.

The first set of Lenere tribe people left (so the remaining guests would be moved out of the prison...), leaving an autopistol and a sandstone club. Hallie managed to sell some excess clothing off as they left.

Two bionic legs for Macy were done (to get her speed up).

Stab added a secondary wood store (slash temporary corpse store).

The newcomers wanted age-reducing treatments, but Stab was holding off so that, once again, winter would have the colony do it in two stages.

Dangit, Stab had forgotten to forbid people the last shelf extension from the guest zone and people had bought more of her trophy skulls.

Day Three-Hundred and Thirty-One.

Aesthetic nose for Dusk.

The other Lenere tribe visitors left, leaving silver.

The minigun was done. Due to the speed penalty, probably wasn't the best for a default weapon. Stab elected to make four more SMGs (since they were still bottlenecked by plasteel).

In fact, Stab decided to switch the long-range sensor back on (she'd turned it off after the last component mine) and set it to plasteel.

Stab ordered a load more aesthetic noses, to the point that everyone that could have one should have one. The current pair went to Christian and Jenni (Stab was just working down the line now!) Actually, Stab wanted an aesthetic shaper for herself, too.

Day Three-Hundred and Thirty-Two.

Stab worked out they needed 32 more bionic legs so everyone had one and stacked them at Trocur's table.

Yes, Stab intended to make as many maxed-out cyborgs as possible, what did you expect!

More Lenere tribe visitors.

Ah. Now, see, this was more like a decent reward. Plasteel, a persona core, a useful skill trainer (for construction) and a good helmet.

Stab accepted the quest and gathered eight troops right away. She would take Navarro, Sam, Dan, Christian, Espinoza, Barracuda and Alligator out immediately, with all the pack animals.

Stab was very tempted to have Balgucha have the skill trainer (since she had passion for construction, but little skill), but in the end, elected to give it to Snow, because Snow really didn't do much aside from cook and haul.

Yet another guarainian pod sprouted. If they ever had a use for them, the colony would have loads...

Stab had another four cloth bedrolls made. They might not be used this time (since you couldn't add stuff to caravans once formed), but it meant they could take out a dozen colonists next time.

Day Three-Hundred and Thirty-Three.

They set off late (because of course...)

Not much was going to be done in the meantime with everything off-line.

Typical. Right, first off, man the mortars. Couple of scythers, several pikemen.

Maelan threw a tantrum (this was mostly because Dusk and Sam kept rejecting him and for some reason he didn't eat his dinner.) Wonderful.

Fantastic. The first three mortar shells UTTERLY missed the target area.

The second one was better. The third did some more damage. The forth killed some more mechs. Fifth missed totally again.

HUH. Stab had sort of just tried that to see if it would work. Well. Poop. Hmm... It would cost a whopping 46 points of goodwill with the Lenere tribe to recruit her, though. Maybe not. Not now, anyway.

...

Brio was clearly just very into cyborgs, since as a kind person, she wasn't bothered by the general hawtness of the colonists.

Sixth shots missed. Seventh shots missed in exactly the same way. Eight killed too more pikemen.

Because the universe hated Stab, this was the exact point they arrived at the EMI generator.

Nine salvo destroyed a corpse, but failed to do anything else. Naturally, the one EMP shell fired hit the fracking building, not the mechs. Dusk had everyone scramble out to kill the last two pikemen.

Stab, meanwhile, formed up to destroy the one scyther.

With just a bit of a bruise on Christian, they took out the defender and attacked the EMI generator.

Navarro tended the Christian. Stab intended to hit the steel mining facility not far away while they were out, so as soon as they were done, they would move out.

Back at base, Mike was hitting the last pikeman, as every closed in to destroy the defoliator.

That done they were to put the fire out.

Just as a thunderstorm started up, of course.

Well, at least that was two problems dealt with!

The steel mining camp was that close Stab arrived.

An equally quick take-down.

They loaded up (this time just leaving the weapons, bat an undamaged wooden club - for capturing purposes)
loaded up on marble chunks and headed back to base.

Aha! Excellent. Another job to be done.

The tribe left, leaving a knife and a bow.

And we shall leave too.
