Greetings, everyone! I am back once again with another movie review for today! This afternoon, I will be talking about what I absolutely enjoyed out of this magnificent gem of a sequel called Mr. Bean’s Holiday. Friends, this was the very movie that introduced me to Mr. Bean and is my all-time favorite comedy film!! Words cannot express how much I enjoyed watching this as a kid and rewatching it again just recently. After all these years, I still remember the fond memories I have from this movie and how much laughter it brought out of me. This is a million times better than the first movie, and that’s saying something since I never knew the first movie even existed by the time I watched this back in 2007.

This is Rowan Atkinson at his finest which makes this the best performance he has ever played as Mr. Bean. In fact, he was a lot funnier here than in the previous installment.

This story is about Bean winning a award that he uses to travel to Cannes. However, during the journey, he unwittingly separates a father from his son on the train station and now has to work with the boy to bring him back to his father. To me, it was really interesting and engaging to see our main character try to cheer up and know about the kid whom he just met.

Furthermore, the acting was spot-on and hilarious in a good way. My favorite characters besides Mr. Bean are Sabine (played by Emma de Caunes), Stepan (played by Maxim Baldry), and Carson Clay (played by Willem Dafoe). They brought these characters to life and portrayed them with great personality and humor.

The cinematography and visuals were well-executed and amazing.

I also enjoyed the music by Howard Goodall. It brought some sense of nostalgia while listening to it again in this movie. Good times, good times...

I can’t exactly choose which scene I enjoyed more because every single scene involving Mr. Bean was hilarious and well done! Every time he would do something stupid or something out-of-the-ordinary, it would get a laugh out of me. Additionally, there wasn’t a single scene that felt cringeworthy or out of place. Remember when I said I had to skip a few scenes in the first film to avoid the awkwardness of the cringe? I did none of that for this movie. That’s when you know a sequel does a better job of executing comedically-timed jokes than did the previous installment.

Lastly, the ending literally brought me to tears... I’m not even joking. Bean finally made it to the beach which he has been dreaming of for a long time, and he finally made it! Everyone else joined along with him in singing his song and having a happy ending at the beach. That... is how you end this story. Enough said.

Overall, this was loads better than the slightly above-average predecessor in every way and aspect. As I give this comedic masterpiece a mighty 12/10, I want to thank MarlonCalpe4000 for requesting me to review this movie. I hope you enjoyed this review, buddy! 😉

Peace out, folks!

I love Mr Bean too. Back in 2007 I was in vacation on the US and since everything was in English I did not understand a word (I was too young back then) but then my grandparents showed me Mr Bean and I finally saw something I could watch and understand. That´s the beauty of Mr Bean, no matter your language you can still laugh with him

Mind if I make a suggestion for your next review? If you're ok with that, perhaps the Patrick Star Show?

Your welcome man! Mr. Bean's Holiday is truly a masterpiece and I also love the sceneries of France!

I appreciate the suggestion, but I have not nor ever will watch the Patrick Star show. The decadence of the main show I once loved is just astounding; thus, I will only review the original show that refuses to die and then soon review the original movie.

How about Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? The one from 1971, not the one from 2005

5584662
Sorry, I only watched the 2005 version. lol

You're missing out, the one from 1971 is much better, and while he's still a bit odd, the 1971 Willy Wonka is nowhere near as creepy as Johnny Depp's version

Alright then. I'll give it a shot when the time is right.
