Temporary hiatus on Egress · 12:40am Jul 26th, 2021
First blog post and I have literally no idea how to format those so imma just cut to the chase, Egress has spread beyond what I imagined it would be. It was supposed to just be a handful of chapters at first but now I'll need more time to properly tie the loose threads and make sure everything comes together smoothly, so I might put it on hold for one or two, maybe three weeks while I properly draft the rest of the chapters.
Also if you want to give feedback on the story so far feel free to do so, I don't usually tackle stories of this magnitude so any amount of feedback helps. Have a wonderful day everyone.
It's a fantastic story so far! You've crafted a lot of great symbolism already, and the sort of mental schism going on with Twilight is fascinating. The latest few chapters have built an ominous feeling that makes me question just how close Celestia was to becoming Daybreaker at any given moment during her entire reign, as well as just how taxing it must be for a single princess to carry both the sun and the moon.
I gave up trying to speculate on where any of it is going weeks ago, but I'll be eagerly waiting to find out.

Thank you, it means a lot to hear that I succeeded in creating the kind of emotions and reactions I was looking for in my readers. Placing Twilight as sole ruler of Equestria has always struck me as... odd, and I long imagined that this would be the kind of result that comes from placing our eager but unprepared Twiggles in such a position. I hope I won't disappoint in how the story is resolved. It feels odd to have people eagerly follow my story, but I am honoured that it marked you and some others so much.
