Sonic 30th Anniversary, ... Saturday Morning Sonic on ABC is still the best version!

As far as story, I agree. Overall package, it's still better than most. But Unleashed is the closest I've seen to the "perfect Sonic experience".

Sonic Underground was my preferred show.

Man, Sonic.

Grew up poor, so we didn't really have TV for the show, but I remember when I first got my hands on the Archie Comics version of Sonic the Hedgehog.

That was back in...shoot, 2000?

And I stayed with it until the stupid reboot they did after the Penders debacle (and I spit on Archie's shallow grave).

I read all of the physical copies I had until they fell apart, but managed to find an archive of all of them, and have spent the last two days just being nostalgic.

Good stuff. Good times.

Ken Penders' reboot killed my love of the Archie comics too sadly.

They lost the license shortly thereafter; IDW runs the show on Sonic now.

...it's all gone. No Sally, no Rotor, no Snively, no Julie-Su...

Man. Few things in entertainment make me feel as low as the reboot and then the IDW takeover did.

Not saying IDW's Sonic is bad, by any means; on the contrary, easy B+ to A-.

But it just ain't the same.

The real kicker?

Sonic was one of Archie's moneymakers until the reboot...and even before the Penders thing, rumor was going around that the Lord High Poobahs at Archie wanted to end it, anyway, wanted to "move away" from Sonic.

Why? It was a cash cow and highly popular, why move away from it?

Nobody knows.

And they bungled the Penders situation so badly that Sega ended up pulling the plug, so even the reboot universe never got a proper ending.

Luckily...

The fans said "Let's do it to it"...

In more than...

One way!
