For the foreseeable future, Broken and Cursed is being canceled. It pains me to do this, but I'm going to explain why. It's genuinely sapping my will to live writing it. The story is based on a mentally and physically abusive relationship I had with someone. As well as the permanent mark they left on my soul. I am not being dramatic, I can honestly say I was brainwashed in every sense of the word to where I couldn't function without them. It took years for a close friend of mine to undo most of, but not all the rewiring my brain went through. Other permanent marks are more physical. Safe to say I'm only a virgin if we only count me consenting. Nobody knows, not even my family I never told them. Only that one friend, who is still working with me to rebuild what was lost.
The story details the different facets of my mentality, conscience, and inner desires to break their hold on me. Even now, I am still caged within my mind fighting a battle with myself over the simplest of tasks because I can no longer ask permission from the "owner." I write these stories to further my therapy and face my inner hell. Normally, it goes well, but some demons I am just not strong enough yet to face.
Please forgive me, but in the interest of self-preservation, I must cancel the fic for the foreseeable future. I'm just not strong enough right now. I'm not done writing, I just can't continue on this fiction.

I'm so sorry for what you went through. I know it may not mean much, but I am. What you described is something no human should ever have to endure, and the fact that you managed to survive it speaks volumes about you. Don't worry about cancelling the story; you are the author, with full control over it, free to work on it or not as you wish. You don't have to explain yourself to us, though your decision to do so here is incredibly powerful, breaking the silence of shame that your past tormentor attempted to chain you with.

It sounds like it is on hiatus not cancelled so might want to fix that. Otherwise I'm really sorry to hear that and good on you for putting it on hiatus instead of continuing when your sanity can't support it.
