Let's give this writing thing a go...

  • EBe Like Dad
Little Mac wants to be like his Dad, big and strong. However, the young colt is not strong enough to pull a cart full of apples, as much as he tries. How is he going to be like his dad if he can't do that?

    Surprise!

The newest chapter of Bluebird is online! Sorry for the long wait, but I hope this makes up for it. I'm trying to conclude the Mount Aris saga of the story nicely. I decided to draft out both parts of the story this time, meaning with this part done, the next part should be ready in weeks instead of months. (I oddly miss the COVID-19 pandemic, where spending time indoors meant I could finish a

    Happy Xmas to All!

Hope everyone is doing well! I had great food, met both sides of my family, and got some nice gifts.

Best of luck to all those submitting for Jinglemas. I would have submitted too, had I not dealt with the emotional toll of redundancy and starting a new job. Still I''ve seen some interesting entries so far (I hope there will be Young Six related entries in the next few days).

    Going to Europe!

Hey all! I've been a bit preoccupied with writing. but I'll be away in Germany for a week, mostly for a furry convention.

Hope you all are doing well yourselves!

I wrote a history book and people can buy it!

That is correct. I've brought it up once or twice on this blog, partly to explain why writing chapters of Bluebird here has slowed.

On Writing: Be Like Dad · 7:07pm Jun 20th, 2021

So it's Father's Day! Don't usually consider producing art in time for a particular holiday, but this was one of the story ideas I had in my mind and it just fit the theme. Someone did comment on why it ended up appearing the day before Father's day, and that's pretty much down to timezones and plans. I'm from the UK, so I'm usually six to nine hours ahead of American users, so if I submitted it in the early morning, it would appear the day before or past midnight on Sunday, and if I submitted it in the evening I wouldn't be long until Father's day in the UK is over. Also, I had already made plans to see my parents on the day, so that's why I submitted it past midnight in the UK so it would be on the site in the morning.

As for the story itself, I was pretty much inspired by that flashback in Going to Seed. That small bit with Bright Mac and Little Mac was sweet, so I thought I'd broaden it out. I've felt as though the ending could have been written better, but I'm glad some people appreciate it for the wholesomeness I intended.

Lastly, another Father's Day thing, I actually commissioned pony art (Shock and Horror), major thanks to Little Tigress for this brilliant piece of young Sandbar surfing with his dad!
