I believe that stories help us to ennoble ourselves, to fix what is broken in us, and to help us become the people we dream of being. Lies that tell a deeper truth.

Well it's my birthday today and I am old as hell!:rainbowlaugh: 28 years now. Still got a bit until I hit the truly scary 30! Don't really have anything big planned for my birthday. Been playing iRacing and then tonight I'm having dinner with my dad, so that'll be nice.

    Sweet Jesus, My Back!

Ok so the other day I wake up. All normal right? WRONG!!!!!! I had the most cutting pain in my lower back I've ever experienced! It was so bad I had to spend, not exaggerating here, 20 minutes figuring out a way to force myself to sit upright and then stand up. Don't know what I did to mess up my back but I have a heat pad and plenty of advil. Apparently that and warm baths are about the best I

    Happy Easter!

Hope you're all having a wonderful day! I'm enjoying a nice day off of work playing iRacing. My brain is too smooth for real drivers at the moment, since I haven't played it in over a year, so I'm going up against the AI:twilightsheepish: And also I feel like I should get in the habit of blogging a bit more. It's been a while.

    Happy New Year

Happy New Year everypony! I spent the night, and day today, just gaming:rainbowlaugh: Playing some Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader, which is absolutely fantastic! If you loved Baldur's Gate 3 and love 40k, Rogue Trader is the perfect RPG to get into. As for my plans in 2024, I do have a story nearly finished. It's a quick one-shot and I'm hoping to upload it before the end of the month. Hopefully you

Random blog time! Damn, so much going on in life right now and so little time! But in a good a way:pinkiehappy:

First, I saw Cruella last night. My honest opinion was that it was a fine movie. Not terrible and not great. Just fine. Emma Stone and Emma Thompson absolutely nailed their roles! Mark Strong also had some great moments too. My main issue with this film is the baggage it carries being a prequel to 101 Dalmatians. With some minor tweaks to the script this movie could have been its very own thing and I feel it would have been so much better. Not everything has to be attached to an existing IP, but clearly Hollywood doesn't know that.

My only other issue with this movie was the surprise twist we got at the end of the second act. If you've seen the movie you know what I'm talking about. This twist was lazy. Why lazy? Because it doesn't change Cruella's end goal at all. Aside from a few scenes of her reflecting on it, her ambitions are unchanged. I was left wanting more after the twist was revealed but never really got it.

Other than that the movie was really well done. The song selections were spot on, if slightly overused, and the acting was stellar. Costumes were an obvious highlight and very creative in my opinion. Also Emma Stone wears a fake mustache, so big points there:rainbowlaugh: Is it a movie I'd pay to see again? Probably not. Would I see it again when it goes free on Disney Plus? Sure! To me it's like most modern movies. A fun enough experience while you're watching it but nothing that you couldn't just wait a few months for to see for free on your streaming service. Have you fine ponies seen it? What do you think? Ready to tell me to go to hell and I'm damn wrong? Leave me a comment and tell me how uncultured I am:rainbowlaugh:

HOLY SHIT THERE'S MORE? YES!

Me and my friend are going to be making a call soon to hopefully get the ball rolling on opening our own electronics repair store. We have a territory we're eyeballing, but this will be a first for the both of us, so there's a lot of things we just don't know obviously. We have plenty of repair and managerial experience between the two of us, so that's a plus. We'd have no problem hiring and training our employees. I have a rough estimate of what the startup cost could be, I've opted to anticipate the highest number until I have something more real. I'm so nervous and excited about this. I really really want this to happen. Wish us luck!
