Doc Ock’s Return

Hey, guys.

Since this version of Doc Ock is the same one from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2, there is just one main concern I have about that:

Remember how he was basically self-reformed by sacrificing himself to save the city and apparently killed himself along with the sun in the ocean? I am hoping he doesn’t become evil again because that would ultimately ruin his character development and make his sacrifice ultimately pointless and meaningless. I trust they will do a great job with his character, but they will have to provide actual logical reasons for him to be bad again and work with Electro from TASM 2 once the film is out.

But what do you guys think? Do you think the same?

At the moment, we don't even know what Doc Ock's role in the film will be. He may very well not be a villain in the film at all considering the points you brought up.

As for Electro, despite Jamie Foxx reprising the role, I believe it was announced a long time ago that the version featured in the film would be a different incarnation.

If it's the same one, then either he could potentially be from Raimi Spider-Man 2 before the movie ends (so basically the movie gets interrupted by what goes down in No Way Home). Or something else happens, whether he gets pissed, loses some memory, or gets manipulated.

I also think it's likely he'll get a second redemption or he'll be put back where he came from so the events can continue.

People would be pissed if he died as a villain this time.

It's a theory. I'm not exactly sure myself, but then again...I would often remember that the key when it comes to stuff like this is to just wait and see rather than speculate.
